I was excited to try this relatively new restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was ruined by the behavior of the waiter. As a tourist, I understand that cultural differences, language barrier and misunderstandings can happen, but this situation was unacceptable.
Waiter repeatedly asked me if I wanted to drink something and I said no at several different times. At first, I took it as a positive thing but then it became kind of uncomfortable. Then, when I ordered the cheesesteak, he took the melted cheese from my plate right away without asking me. ( I really wanted to dip the fries in it; however that was fine still).
Main issue arised when it came time to pay, the waiter asked if I wanted to leave a tip, and I agreed to 10% only. However, the card machine showed a connection issue and wouldn’t process the transaction. The waiter then took the machine inside to “check it” and returned with the transaction ready to go. I trusted the process and tapped my card.
Later, I realized that the tip and total amounts had been increased without my knowledge ( Doubled). This was disappointing enough, but the waiter also laughed at me, clearly treating me as a clueless tourist. It left a sour taste in my mouth and overshadowed what could have been a nice dining experience.
This kind of behavior is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the restaurant. I hope management addresses these issues to prevent others from having a...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely fantastic spot! I stopped by Artiano’s in Mexico City and was blown away. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the music gives the place great energy, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier.
Now, as someone who lives in Philadelphia—home of the cheesesteak—I can honestly say their cheesesteaks are legit. Perfectly seasoned meat, great bread, and that melty cheese just right. A little Mexican flare made it unique. It’s not easy to impress a Philly native with a cheesesteak, but Artiano’s nailed it.
Highly recommend stopping here—you’ll leave...
