Casa Visconti — Restaurant in Mexico City

Gelato options in Condesa are plentiful, and this is yet another spot offering around 20 flavors. Although the gelato was decent, the service fell short. It always seemed busy, and there was a bit of a line. When it was our turn, the attendant offered us to try any flavor we wanted. After trying two flavors, we discarded our used spoons in a small waste bin on the top shelf.

After deciding on our flavors, the attendant grabbed a used spoon from the waste bin and put it on our gelato. He froze for a moment and then handed it to us, which I was just in shock of what I had just witnessed. We pointed out that he had taken the spoon from the trash bin, and he froze again, trying to argue that it wasn’t. After a bit of back and forth, he very hesitantly went to his supervisor, who told him to give us a new gelato.

The fact that he tried to give us a used spoon was unprofessional and unsanitary. The fact that he hoped we wouldn’t notice was just unacceptable. I honestly couldn’t believe it happened in front of our eyes. Sure, mistakes happen, but this was just wrong. It left us with a very bad experience, even with a fresh gelato...

We have loved this place in the past and were weekly regulars. However, the last 3 times we have gone, a few flavors have been mixed incorrectly and taste horrible (as if they forgot the sugar and so they have the consistency of shaved ice). We even pointed out to the staff that there was clearly something wrong with several flavors, but they just shrugged and served it to the next people in line. I still love this place, but ask to taste your flavors before buying. And to Visconti, please increase your quality control so we can return to giving...

Es un excelente lugar para comer un helado, pero ofrece mucho más que la increíble variedad de sabores, de las cuales recomiendo ampliamente el de chocolate, además amo que puedes probar mas de un sabor antes de elegir que llevar.

Puedes encontrar comida deliciosa y con una presentación increíble, los baguette son una excelente opción para disfrutar en este sitio. Además las mejores sodas italianas las eh encontrado en este lindo lugar, el cual es súper acogedor y agradable, otra muy buena opción para disfrutar una tarde tranquila en el lugar con una bebida deliciosa es su chai, el cual está completamente equilibrado en sabor.

La atención es única, el trato de todos lo que laboran en lugar es súper agradable y humana, no solo con comensales.

Y por si fuera poco los postres que ofrecen son una maravilla, recomiendo ampliamente el pastel de zanahoria, es uno de los mejores que eh probado en mi vida.

Definitivamente es un lugar al que regreso cada que tengo oportunidad, uno de mis favoritos para relajarme y refrescarme después de un rato de paseo por Condesa, un plus más es que tienen estación para perritos y es súper sencillo llegar desde cualquier punto por su muy buena ubicación.

Pero no me crean a mi, mejor vivían la experiencia por ustedes mismos, estoy completamente segura que no se arrepentirán de la experiencia y sabores que vivirán...
