While visiting the Historic Center there are a lot of options and the Casino Español was 400m from the main attraction. The food was good, and it has a excellent variety of spanish dishes. I wasn’t looking for a steak, which seems it was their specialty. I ordered Huevos Rotos with Morcilla for starters, and Lentils with Chorizo as entree. My main concern was the service which was horrible. Reading other comments it seems that I was unlucky but it took more than 1 hour to bring these two eggs. Price was fine, it wasn’t cheap nor very expensive as the restaurant is locate in a touristic neighborhood. From my experience come here if you want good Spanish food, but do not expect an awesome experience.

We ordered a paella it was ok but not the best, the octopus over stone was great highly recommend, the soup was average nothing to brag about. The chorizo entry was great combined with the perfect breads. In general the place is great, service is very good but I don't like places where they rush removing the plates from the table it makes me feel like they were rushing us out. Anyways very nice ambient a mariachi group was playing around while we were eating which gives a nice atmosphere. Dish prices are above the average from around. For example a paella dish is around 200 pesos if you compare to a local cocine I mean tacos and other nice dishes you can find around.

We came here at 9 am on a Thursday morning . Surprisingly not many places were open at the time. Luckily, we ended up here and we were not disappointed. The place is huge and inside a beautiful palace/ colonial home. The servers were very polite, helpful and attentive. We had a potato Mediterranean omelette and a latte. They even served us some complimentary bread. The food and the latte was excellent. And the price was very very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a hearty meal in the centro historico area. Thank you for the amazing breakfast!

Stayed near by so walked to it, as you walk in the building you either walk up the stairs or take the elevator to the second floor and that is where the restaurant is. Got here early so we got seated right away. The staff was very nice and right away we got offered the menu and a pastry, Got a concha (pan de dulce) Enchiladas Casino, Huevos Veracruz, Jugo Combinado, D Americano coffee, The decor is Spanish style and it is very clean. The servers did come around and gave us good service. The food came promptly and it was good but needed something else to make it great. Overall it was a good experience. Right outside the restaurant you can walk around and also see the architecture of the building that looks amazing, (unfortunately you cannot...
