After looking forward to visiting this café, our experience was a very big letdown. The only positive parts of our visit where the awesone view and the sweet bread we purchased.
Our coffee order was horrible, I ordered a Chai that tasted like rum or rompope (Eggnog) and overwhelming vanilla flavor. Did not order again as we were told we only had half an hour and getting our drinks took half of that, not including the wait for the breads.. The girl serving us was very rude, took quite a long time to get our drink order down. She messed up our order after repeating to her over 3 times. Mind you we are fluent spanish speakers.
The place was very dirty to the point we had dirty facemasks and multitude of napkins and trash on the floor. One of the guys even said our facemasks fell, we informed him they where not ours, he simply kicked the facemasks to the corner.
This place has very young, imature, rude servers. They have no shame openly gossiping and complaining about patrons visiting. Wish we would have read reviews before our visit.
Only reason for two stars...
Read moreWent around an hour before closing on a holiday, but couldn’t get a table in time to enjoy our food seated before they close. Instead, we ordered takeout and they allowed us to go in to take photos.
Staff were very nice and when I was just looking at the food, someone immediately asked if they could help me. And even if they didn’t speak much English and I don’t speak Spanish, the staff very patiently tried to explain what’s available, what main ingredients were in it, and how much they cost. The cakes were all 75MXN and I most especially enjoyed the Chocolate/Nutella Mousse on top of Orea crumbles. Blew me away; unfortunately, it had melted a bit by the time we got home to enjoy the takeout.
The view was fantastic. I just wish we knew that takeouts would have allowed us access to the restaurant earlier, as I wanted to take a photo of the palace before and after sunset.
The entire seating area is outdoors, but there are parts that are under a roof and others under giant tents. Nonetheless, if it rains, half of the seats...
Read moreMe and my wife came here because the view was very beautiful and we wanted to enjoy a coffee here while we took pictures. The view is 5 stars, but the service was terrible! We waited about 10 minutes for our order to be taken and we were ok with it because we were taking pictures and taking in the view. Then we realized tables around us were leaving without any food or cups on the table. The couple next to us said their hot chocolate tasted like mole, but the woman didn't want to send it back because her head hurt from waiting so long. Me and my wife left after 25 minutes since our drinks and pastries still hadn't arrived and her head was hurting from waiting so long. I recommend to walk in to take pictures then walk anywhere else to...
