I had the pleasure of dining at Matti Osteria and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of Mexico City, this gem transports you straight to Italy with its warm ambiance, impeccable service, and exquisite cuisine.

Wandering around Zona Rosa I noticed an interesting Italian restaurant . Osteria usually denotes a restaurant at a higher level, above a common Trattoria. The place had a wood grill burning away and an imported Italian pizza oven. Sat outside and ordered a pizza margarita and a beer. I was pleasantly surprised when the pizza arrived, a beautiful pizza in the style of a Napolitana. I had build a wood burning oven and made organic pizza at a friend's hotel / farm / music performance space in North Hatley Quebec, Le Caravane, so I know a bit about pizza quality and this pie was as good as any I have had in Naples, Rome, New York or my home town San Francisco. Service was great and if the pizza is any indication of the quality of the other offerings then this restaurant is a must visit fo for fine Italian food. Antes de mi reseña, les doy el tip de que No olviden hacer reservacion .. El lugar no es tan chico pero tampoco tan grande por lo tanto esta "lleno", hay mesas libres afuera pero el ambiente está adentro y se disfruta más. Buena iluminación y música deep house, la decoración es adecuada y calida, incluso en los baños muy limpio y lindos sus azulejos. El olor del jabón de baño bien, las paredes en madera verde dan un toque cálido, los baños cerrados en su totalidad, te sientes agusto y con privacidad. No tenía reserva pero el dueño o encargado se portó muy amable, valoró nuestra visita, apesar de no tener la reserva nos invito a pasar a la barra a tomar unos tragos, lo cual vas consumiendo mientras esperas mesa y se pasa más ligero. Una vez en la mesa él mesero muy amable y dando recomendaciones del menú el cuál no es extenso pero cumple bien y es bueno. Las pastas son de tamaño considerable pero no muy grandes, las pizzas de trufa muy linda a la vista y la de met lover esta rica pero obvio al ser tipo italiano son delgadas y puede que no te sientas satisfecho si eres de buen diente, tendrás que pedir algo más para estar satisfecho. Las tostaditas de atún para la entrada son muy ricas en sabor. El concepto del lugar nos mencionaron, consiste en pedir diferentes platillos al centro para compartir y probar de todo. Los postres están ricos, el de chocolata es rico pero más los canolis, vienen de a 3 muy lindos decorados, suavecitos ricos y el relleno muy rico al paladar. En cuanto a bebidas hay variedad, en cerveza, limonadas de sabores sin alcohol, la de mojito y frutos rojos muy ricos; apesar de no tener alcohol, su vino de la casa, la copa esta arriba de $150 pero es copa grande. Lo que si se me hizo algo caro son las mezcalitas, el vaso es pequeño y el precio de ese vaso $199 pesos; fuera de eso, los demás precios están justos. En conclusión esta rico y agusto el lugar, con un ambiente tranquilo y cálido, acompañdo de música adecuada y comida en general bien vs. pecios. No hay estacionamiento hay que buscar lugar en las...
