Started the night with a Yuzu Margarita Cocktail, and oh man, this drink slaps. The yuzu’s bright, citrusy zing cuts through the tequila with such finesse, tart, refreshing, and just the right amount of boozy warmth. It’s the kind of cocktail that wakes up your palate and screams, “Buckle up, foodie, you’re in for a ride.” Followed it with a Mikan Aperol, which was like sunshine in a glass. The mikan’s sweet-tangy orange vibe danced with the bittersweet Aperol, making it dangerously sippable. I could’ve downed three, but I had to save room for the main event. Then came the Classic Tonkotsu Ramen, and let me just say, finally we have authentic ramen has in Mexico City, and all the other ramen spots can just pack it up and go home 😂. This bowl was pure soul food. The broth? Creamy, porky perfection that clung to every noodle like it was meant to be there. Hours of simmering went into that rich, umami bomb, I could taste the dedication. The noodles had that ideal springy chew, and the chashu pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender with just a whisper of char. The marinated egg? Jammy yolk heaven. Every bite was a love letter to Japan, and I was ready to propose to the chef by the end. For dessert, the Matcha Kakigori stole my heart. This wasn’t just shaved ice, it was a fluffy, green-tea-infused cloud that melted on my tongue like a dream. The matcha flavor was bold but not bitter, with that earthy depth I crave. And the surprise? A generous pile of red beans tucked inside, adding this sweet, nutty chew that balanced the whole thing out. It was like a hug from a Japanese grandma who knows exactly how to make you happy. This place isn’t just serving food; it’s serving vibes. The attention to detail, the balance of flavors, it’s clear they’re not messing around. Mexico City’s ramen game has been officially upgraded, and I’m already counting down the hours until I can slurp that tonkotsu again. 10/10, no notes,...
Read moreCame here for the grand opening to the public! This is their 4th store ever to open originating from Japan. I was super excited to try their vegan ramen and was fortunate to watch the cutting ceremony. Once we were inside you’re immediately transported through the dim lights and classy Japanese style decor. Theres a room where all the noodles are handmade for guest to see. They have comfy booths, cool coasters and pretty bowls. The music and vibe of this place is impressive. The food came out quick and looked beautiful and tasted even better- taking me back to when I visited Japan. The serving size was the perfect amount as well. We also tried the mezcal drink and margarita and they tasted beautifully, I could’ve easily stayed there all day. Shout out to our wonderful and helpful server Melanie! Highly recommend this place, now that it’s officially open to the public, if you’re near by or...

注文したのは Miso Ginger(ヴィーガン味噌ラーメン)に、味玉とチャーシューを追加。

I visited Tonchin, which opened recently in Mexico City. I ordered the "Miso Ginger" (a vegan miso ramen) with additional toppings: marinated egg and roasted chashu. Since each component is ordered separately, the full bowl came to about 500 pesos.
The broth wasn’t spicy, but had a strong, well-balanced miso flavor. It had a toasty aroma, and while I couldn’t pinpoint the exact dashi base, the flavor felt rich and layered—not bland at all.
The noodles were medium-thin and had just the right amount of firmness. They weren’t overcooked or too chewy—nicely al dente.
The restaurant had a high-end, relaxed atmosphere. Dim lighting and candles on the tables created a calm setting, and the background music was quiet enough for a comfortable conversation. Service was decent—nothing outstanding, but no complaints.
【Overall】 While the price might seem high by local standards, the quality of the dish, presentation, and dining experience made it...
