Ultramarinos de Fran — Restaurant in Mexico City

Great service, very nice staff. Amazing location and ambiance. I live in Barcelona every August/September and travelled the whole of Spain. I adore Spanish food…it’s simple, well done with love and attention to detail and inexpensive. Ultramarinos de Fran was lacking on most of those unfortunately. The food was average and at least twice what I pay in Spain....

The service was not great ! They don’t have a cocktail menu and it was kind of asking for a favor to tell us their offer : overpriced horrible Sangria. Jamon tasted like plastic . The tapas were not that great . The check was incorrect , they charge for extra tapas . And they didn’t want to correct it . Won’t go back /...

The ambience at this place is excellent and so is the wine— but some of the dishes were lacking in depth of flavor. We have had so much incredible food in this city— this was by far the most expensive and the least tasty. I would come here for wine and a quick plate of anchovies and bread… but...
