We spent a week at Casa Blanca and contrary to comments about the town being an ex hippy dive, let me put the issue right.||This town has gone through a renaissance during the last four or five years. ||Secondly. Casa Blanca. A beautifully designed boutique hotel with daily room service that presents professionalism by its management owners. Native plants and trees add that exquisite feeling of being away from the hubbub of the town. ||Our villa had a well presented kitchen with all any one would require if they wish to prepare their own meals. The bed was super support with mozi drape, and during our stay in Dec/Jan we were never aware of any infestations of any bugs or other creepy things. We had two powerful fans overhead and side blown that provided more than enough ventilation. A nice idea they have added is a reception cold shower to wash legs and footwear of beach sand.||About the Town. If you are not used to nudism then maybe you should stay in Puerto Angel, a little fishing village 5 or 6 ks to the south. ||Yes there is nudism right along the 1 kilometre beach. The beach scene is a fun, clean and people are respectful of others privacy. We are not nudists by prior determination but the beach is a beautiful free and charming place to send those lazy days clothing off !!!||I had the occasional whiff of weed but at no time were we propositioned for anything illegal.||We are told that Dec / Jan are the two top months as summer temperatures get weigh high indeed||On balance: An undiscovered opportunity full of...
Read moreI loved staying here. Case Oaxaca is on the main (basically the only) street in Zipolite, with the beach a block away. The rooms are very big and comfortable and have either balconies or terraces. Some (maybe most) of them have kitchens.||||The owner/manager, Ixchal, is absolutely delightful. She speaks excellent English and is very helpful. I had a few problems when I was there (none had anything to do with the hotel), and she was always able to assist me. Her partner, who also speaks very good English, was equally helpful. Although no breakfast is served (unnecessary for most rooms which have kitchens), there are a number of excellent breakfast places nearby.||||There is one front room on the street, which might be noisy for some people. The other rooms are very quiet.||||Note that Casa Oaxaca does not have hot water - but that is the case for most, if not all, the places to...
Read moreWe stayed in Toledo (top floor & furthest back from the street). I highly recommend this room (can't speak for the others). We had a private balcony with hammock and table/chairs, plus an amazing ocean view from the moment you open your eyes in bed in the morning. The few flights of stairs are worth it for the view and breeze. It can get very hot in town, but with the fans and breeze we were in heaven just lounging in our room and enjoying the sounds of the birds during the day and distant beat of music at night (sometimes not so distant but overall worth it for proximity to the beach). Shower is cold but didn't bother us given the heat. It was refreshing! Also we loved having the mini fridge and stovetop/sink. We picked up eggs and fruit at the local market and enjoyed several lazy mornings. Staff was wonderful, provided bug spray and tips for exploring the...
