Tere Cazola - Playa — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

I'm Military and Law Enforcement, who came to Playa del Carmen for a long month long vacation with my wife. I decided to get 2 slices of cake for my wife and I. (Keep in mind, I'm well aware of the USD to Pesos ratio. I purchased 2 slices of cake (85.00 and 75.00) on 09/04/2025 @ 19:47. Only 1 female employee was in the store at the counter. I asked for the USD price, knowing it was $7.85 no more than $8.00. The female at the counter doubled the USD to $16.00. This is HORRIBLE to attempt to rip your customer off. What a thief! Shame on that employee. I reached out to my Playa del Carmen family, relatives and friends and informed them of my experience. I ordered the choco fresa cake and it was AMAZING!!!! So affordable for the amount of cake we got that we left a quarter of it at the restaurant for the staff where we had the cake delivered to and still had another quarter left to take home with us!!
