LOVE AT FIRST BITE. How this joint is only rocking 3.3 stars, we’ll never know... If we could give 6. Just wish we could press rewind and live the experience again and again and again. To start, we inhaled an Italiana based extragrande carnes frías. One word: perfection. From the word: Go, we were in heaven. It was like angels doing the cha-cha on our tastebuds. The seasoning, the textures, the flavours - it was an out of body experience. We only have one question: how did you do it? Next, in came the crunchy chicken haiwaina. We loved the variation of the slices (squares, not triangles). Sweet and salty, with a sneaky bacon twist. We were besotted by the contrast of the crispy base and the chewy chicken - they complemented one another like big cook little cook. It was a flavor disco in our mouths, with the crispy base and chewy chicken doing the funky chicken dance together! Then the grand finale. The cajeta baitz (not a spelling mistake, simply marketing genius). We won’t spoil the surprise, but you’ll thank us later 😉 It gave the whole meal a bit of extra purchase. We want to take this opportunity to thank not only the Dominos staff in Tulum, but all of those who work tirelessly around the world; working their hats off day in day out. And last but by no means least, to Tom and James Monaghan whose entrepreneurial prowess have enriched the lives of many since the birth of their cheesy empire in 1960. En route north, we feel torn leaving this culinary haven, sad to say goodbye, and in pain due to indigestion. To pastures (and...
Read moreIf a small place these those chairs and tables where people can sit and then I was there it was always full, so they’re doing something right. The girls were very patient with me trying to bumble my Spanish. I think the only downside I’m finding is that it is very difficult to download apps in another country when your phone is registered in your home. Because they had some great specials, but only on the app. Only after a lot of playing around and changing my phone over to Mexico and I got the special and the girls were super courteous and supportive.
The pizza itself was like any other Domino’s, and again the only complaint which is nothing major was been using the app you could not ask for extra sauce, which is something I usually like on my pizza. And in typical Mexican fashion, they serve you both hot sauce and ketchup to put on the pizza . Definitely worth going to again when they are open. Everything in Mexico seems to shut down around 10 o’clock so there’s no late night pizza runs. So those are my biggest complaints and they are nothing, it’s definitely worth going to if you are in Tulum, you’ll have to wait in line as always align and drivers on their bikes will bring you over a few standing...
Read moreTERRIBLE SERVICE, IF YOU CAN ORDER ELSEWHERE, DO IT! I made an order for a medium pizza which a driver was going to help me pick up but it was difficult for him to be able to go so I called immediately to cancel my order to what they told me that was already ready (not even 2 minutes had passed ) and the person who answered, after asking for his name because of the bad treatment he gave me was "José Cervantes" (I don't know if he invented the name) I asked him if they didn't have delivery service because I had no way to go get the pizza (I'm a foreigner) to which he replied that they don't have delivery service for a medium pizza that I had to order at least 2 large pizzas, after explaining that I had no way to go for the pizza, he THREATENED me telling me that if they canceled my order I was going to be blocked from ordering a pizza at any Dominos in the Republic and that even with another name or phone number would I ever be able to order again. Terrible service from the people serving customers, it is a shame that they...
