This was a horrible hotel experience. First, the hotel was booked through Priceline. I use Priceline for most hotel lodging reservations and have never had any issues before. Upon arrival, the hotel requested I pay an additional amount, stating they “did not receive the payment”. When I showed them my Priceline reservation details, including a summary notating paid in full, they insisted on saying they did not receive payment. The ladies at the front desk (photo attached) prompted ME to contact Priceline on my own, using my own cellphone. They also requested to see a copy of my bank statement. YES, they requested a copy of my bank statement to verify I paid, even after I was in contact with Priceline who confirmed I did in fact have a reservation paid in full. When this fiasco was finally sorted out, I was given a room that was less than clean. The toilet and sink was dirty, and the towels had stains on them. There’s also a daily active construction site directly across from the hotel. Housekeeping comes in/out the room all times of the day. The only positive point about this hotel is location, in that it’s walking distance from several restaurants and bars. I would not recommend walking the streets at night, but during the day it seemed perfectly safe and convenient to explore on foot.

Stayed at Elements Tulum for one week and had a great stay overall. Prices are incredible for the property ambiance and location, highly recommend if you're looking to be right in the middle of everything. We were able to ride a bike (provided by the hotel) to the ruins and beach, catch a cab right outside for around 200-300 pesos to the further locations, and could walk all through town in minutes. The staff was always very attentive and friendly throughout the visit. There's also a money exchange and car rental right around the corner to cover all your travel needs. The only downsides to this location were; the water does get shut-off some nights to conserve *it's actually good for the environment* (was usually 12p-7a) but asking the front desk it gets turned back on promptly. Additionally, the breakfast is basic somewhat westernized but they do make it fresh at your order. Finally, there is currently construction across the street so sometimes during the day (after 10a-5p) it can get noisy but honestly, you're in Tulum if you're sitting in the hotel in the afternoon, you're wasting your vacation. Highly recommend for those that like to be off the beach and enjoying all that Tulum has to offer!

Elements Boutique Hotel Tulum is centrally located in the heart of the town, and at the cost per night is well worth the four star experience. The staff at the front desk is very accommodating and happy to strike up a conversation anytime you're passing through, whether leaving for the day or coming back late at night after a long day of exploring. They also offered so many tips and suggestions on places to go and which specific spots among a group of things that were the better options. I can't thank them enough. The rooms themselves are beautiful. As you can see from the pictures, the headboards flow into the ceilings and create a canopy effect. The beds themselves are very comfortable and (at least for a larger individual) created the perfect balance of being cradled while not sinking into the mattress. I slept better than I sometimes do on my own. The amenities offered are sufficient, and the pool is lovely. You can't beat the location, as the hotel is just a few blocks from the heart of downtown Tulum. The blend of modern touches and nature throughout is well done.

This has to be the worst experience I have had the displeasure of experiencing. Please read carefully before yoh decide to book this hotel. Upon checking in (1/11/23) you are asked to leave a deposit for incidentals. We booked 2 rooms so 2 deposits. At first when you enter, the room is clean and welcoming but it simply doesn't function. The remote control had the room number taped to it, the back of the remote that covers the battery kept falling off and there was evidence that a piece of tape was used to hold the back in place. Inside the room there was no furniture to place your folded clothes. Only hangers. We woke up the next morning wanting to iron our blouses to hang them only to realize that there was no iron or ironing board in any of the rooms, as a matter of fact we were told that we would have to go downstairs and request an iron and board at the front desk. There were no phones, radios, clocks anything that resembled some form of functionality. So to get the iron we had to walk downstairs since no phones to call to request one. Next to the hotel was a private home and on the property were 2 dogs who would constantly bark. Directly across from the hotel is a construction site so you had to contend with that noise as well. The worst part of our short stay (3nights) is upon checking out at 4am, you are told that someone would check your room before releasing the hold on your card. A man at the front desk went through the dirty towels and came downstairs and said there was a stain on the towel. A stain on towels that were not white or 'hotel worthy' to begin with. He had a picture of what he calls a stain and said they would charge us $17US for the stain on the towel. We were flabbergasted. Aren't towels suppose to get dirty. We told the gentleman that that is something that will come out after the towels are washed. He still charged us $17US for the stain. We will never stay at this hotel again and I implore you please avoid this hotel. This is not a boutique hotel but a cheap motel lacking basic amenities and then rips guests off after searching your dirty linens. My job affords me the luxury of travel and in all the 20yrs of stays in numerous hotels, boutique and all out resorts this is definitely the first time we heard such nonsense. No furniture was damaged, items broken but instead they charged us for a dirty brownish color towel. Definitely poor taste. Also avoid the breakfast nothing to spend $10US on but definitely visit Aldo's at the corner for some ice cream. A VERY...

I usually don’t leave reviews, but after this wild experience, I had no choice. I was absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received at this hotel. I booked the hotel for a women’s retreat and interacted with 3 different people over the course of my time at the hotel. The first person checked us in and I informed him that Oke of the participants had COVID and wouldn’t be attending and the other person would be staying with me to nanny for my child. He said okay he would let the manager know and they would remove it from the bill. He took a deposit for the 5 rooms ($50 per day). He told us breakfast was served at the sister hotel, Zenses and we should eat there after yoga in the morning. He also informed us that while the website says bikes are complimentary, they don’t offer bikes and the beach is actually an hour away, not 30 minutes! What the hell? The next day, another woman asked for the remaining balance on the room. I asked if that was customary because I am used to paying that upon departure and she said yes, so I paid the balance. The day before our departure, I interacted with a 3rd woman who was very rude, impatient and said she was charged two rooms that weren’t even in my party for breakfast. I told her breakfast was included. I asked for her name. She refused to give it to me so I sent a screenshot of her to the manager and he failed to respond. She called the manger and both of them very rudely said breakfast was not included and told me they would be charging me for the room my nanny didn’t use and for breakfast, even though it was included. I requested a print out of my payment. They couldn’t provide it for a while and finally provided a document that was inaccurate I challenged them and questioned them over and over and they failed to address the issue or provide any type of resolve. I also advocated for bikes and when we took them out, the pedal fell off and we had to rely on the help of strangers to get us back because no one at the hotel was willing to come get us or support the issue. ||In addition, our rooms were not cleaned daily, despite the multiple requests. I had to come and get tissue, washcloths and empty the trash. Absolutely terrible service!||I have been going back and forth with the “owner” for a while and he has ceased responding because there is 0 accountability. ||There’s also construction across the street constantly and wild dogs running around, it’s just not worth it.||DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! IT’S NOT WORTH...
