Nirvana Foods Indian restaurant, Vegan restaurant & International Grocery — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

If you are looking for desi food (Indian & Pakistani) in Cozumel this is the place to come. Lots of vegetarian options as well. Meats not halal but they have good alternatives. The place is ran by an extremely nice couple Neeta & Nikhil. They took care of us many times. We went there once and visited two more times as my wife had desi food cravings and can’T go without it for a few days. Service is good and portions are good sized. Gobi / Chicken Manchurian in the appetizer is a must try. We never had the chicken version but I’m sure it’s just as tasty. They also have a small desi grocery store in there for people that would want to buy grocery off a Cruiseship or if you are renting an AirBnB. We were living in a resort and had food available to us for free 24/7 but we still took our time to come here as the food tested really good. Biryani was also very authentic as it was cooked as how it should (varies on where you are from, different versions of biryani) I could say it was a North Indian version of the biryani. Daal Makhani, Chole (Chaney), Paneer/Chicken Tikka Masala is what we had as well and they were great, Lassi is as authentic as it can get. Mushroom momos was very good as well, especially since I had it for the first time. Prices are also very fair considering next to options on the island. Amazing service was provided by the staff as well, restaurant is a full service restaurant and could accommodate 16-18 people....

A Delightful Dining Experience Anytime my husband and I see a new restaurant, we have to try it. Our recent visit to Nirvana Foods was no exception, and it did not disappoint. The food was full of flavor, the place was impeccably clean, and the temperature inside was just right. We started with an appetizer and followed up with two main dishes, all of which were incredibly filling and delicious. Nick, the owner, was amazing—very accommodating and genuinely appreciative of our visit. One unique feature of this restaurant is the curated market section, where you can find all kinds of unique products that cater to Indian / Asian cuisine. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to explore new flavors and ingredients.

Nirvana foods is a MUST if you seek vegan food options. BUT this review is actually for "Neeta's Kitchen" which works in tandem with this store if you want delicious Indian cuisine.

They are only for pick up or delivery at the time of this review (July 14), so there is no place to sit down and eat. And order earlier in advance for the food.

Their "Shahi Kofta" was rich with flavor. I also had the "Dahi Vada", which is not on their menu - you must order early in advance for this gem. Both dishes have a great recipe behind them.
