70 Pesos Well Spent: A Pork Quesadilla Review

Stopped by this spot to grab a pork quesadilla because, well, I like pork and I like quesadillas—seemed like a solid plan. The place has a nice atmosphere, and they even have a convenient street window for grab-and-go, in case you need to make a quick getaway with your cheese-filled prize.

Now, let’s talk food. Was this pork quesadilla a life-changing, transcendental experience that made me question everything I thought I knew about Mexican cuisine? No. But for 70 pesos, I wasn’t expecting the culinary reincarnation of my abuelita, either.

What I got was a solid, generously-sized quesadilla that filled me up without emptying my wallet. It wasn’t a Michelin-star meal, but it also wasn’t one of those tiny, sad tacos that leave you rethinking your life choices.

Bonus points for their schedule—they’re open for breakfast from 7 AM to 1 PM, then again for dinner from 6 PM to 1 AM, which means you can grab a late-night quesadilla and make questionable dietary decisions at almost any hour.

Would I come back? Sure. Would I write poetry about this quesadilla? Probably not. But for 70 pesos? Yeah, I’d...

Food 5/5 🤤 Delicious and great taste and variety. As someone who loves spicy 🔥 food, my one complaint would be that the hot-sauces weren't as "picantes" (hot) as I would've liked 🥴 that's something you can improve easily (I think)

Beverages 5/5 🤤 Delicious, refreshing, not super sweet, made out of natural fruit

Service 5/5 😀 Very attentive crew, great service, patient and provide recommendations as requested. They are able to provide information in English and menus as well and the prices were pretty good when compared to other places I visited.

Atmosphere 4/5 The restroom area could use an improvement but that's the only "but"...

Tucked away in an unassuming location, this hidden gem delivered far more than its modest exterior suggests. I had the chalupa with bistec a la Mexicana—a generous portion layered on a freshly made tortilla, bursting with bold, well-seasoned flavors. One was more than enough, both in size and satisfaction. I also tried the house-made horchata, which stood out not only for its balanced sweetness and creamy texture but also for its thoughtful preparation using filtered water and ice.

The menu is impressively diverse, offering a wide range of protein options at very reasonable prices. I’ll definitely be returning to explore the...
