We came here for our university trip and decided to have dinner as it is near the docks which was lovely and the terrace seemed busy and fun. We arrived and began ordering what we decided to have, the waiters were drinking beer during shift and would constantly sit down to have a drink then begin working again. The waiters we had was very moody and had an attitude when we wanted to add an extra to our meal. After he ignored our request we kept saying excuse me to different waiters and the manager and we got completely ignored. Then one man finally came over and started speaking to us like we were a problem. They then brought our food out late and it was cold. We asked to split the bill at the end and the waiter put his hands on his head and had a tantrum like a child. We told him we know what we each have to pay and he got instantly happy. Overall from being here i can say that they are lazy, careless, they dont like tourists and even told us we cant have mussels as they ran out then they served mussels to a different table. They dont like to do any work or try to make a nice impression and have an overall rude attitude. If you want this country to have tourists and bring in money then they need to learn that hospitality is a MUST and it takes no effort to smile. Also an FYI if you order a pint of beer be aware that you will get no head on any of them and they will underpour you...
Read moreWe walked in at 11.45 pm without checking any reviews for this restaurant. We were told to order immediately as the kitchen was closing, we ordered seafood platter for 2 for 49 eur & 2 cocktails, as we were very hungry! sea food platter contained prawns that were overcooked and chewy, squid was not fresh, and the fish was also not fresh and tasted strongly. chips were ok. We ate most of the seafood which was a terrible mistake. Neither of us have ever complained about a meal in our lives, but we had to say something this time as the meal was truly terrible. So we made our first ever complaint. We were told by the waiter that if we hadnt eaten most of the seafood, they would have replaced the meal. There was no reason to believe that the replaced food would be any better, given the kitchen was closing and as admitted by the manager that such meal is usually prepared from frozen ingredients! The manager offered us a free tiramisu, which we refused. We paid full price (73 eur) for the whole meal, the waiter and manager were completely unhelpful. Manager refused to give his name when asked. Please do yourself a favour and NEVER eat at this restaurant. Terrible food, terrible service.
It was an expensive mistake, but we learnt a lesson to never eat bad food no matter how hungry you are. Our stomachs were upset for 2 days after...
Read moreDined here in August so peak season, was very busy and felt bad for the staff running around! Therefore was difficult getting service.
Once we had ordered we got our drinks but one was left off. We waited at least 45 minutes and unfortunately our food that was meant to be hot eg burger/pasta was cold, however the caprese salad was cold too which it was meant to be. Yay 🧊 Genuinely was hard to tell if the food would be good if it was warm.
We were brought two of one of our orders which we said this wasn’t ours. They left it on our receipt. We had ordered another salad but that didn’t come either, but this was also left on our bill. We were then asked again and told we should have paid for it, which was incorrect. Additionally, we’re charged a 10% service fee despite not really getting service.
I think it was a busy time for them but all the reviews had our hopes up, so I hope this humbles some of the other reviews. I’m sure it’s really nice off peak maybe!
That being said, the atmosphere was lovely with the saxophonist and his little friend, great music and definitely made our dinner enjoyable! Sitting close to the water and watching the moon rise over the mountain was...
