Food:

I had the Tajine kefta when I came. Somehow the most blandest food I've ever had in Morocco (which is impressive given the whole of Marrakech has pretty bland food). The clay was piping hot, in fact too hot because it resulted in all the meat getting burnt.

Service:

At first, excellent, but after we got our food we tried to order another round of drinks and they just didn't come. Went downstairs to pay because we had finished our food and the waiter was on his phone so had clearly forgotten.

Atmosphere:

Very nice atmosphere, the layout of the restaurant and the view from the second floor was very nice and in general had a really nice vibe.

Overall, the food is the most important part of a restaurant and this was the worst I had so unfortunately its a 1* from me. My partner had a kefta sandwich which was...

We really enjoyed the food—it was delicious, and the view from the place is lovely, especially being able to see the square. The barman was friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, we had a negative experience at the end.

He asked us directly for a tip, which we found very inappropriate. On our second visit, we gave him 10 dh, but he was not satisfied and even said, “If it’s only this, just keep it.” This kind of behavior is unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable. It happened twice, so we believe it may be a common issue with other clients as well.

We would have happily given 5 stars, but this experience really affected our impression. We hope you can address this matter, as everything else...

I came to Café Kessabine expecting to enjoy my time, but unfortunately, I had a very uncomfortable experience. The atmosphere might seem fine at first, but the behavior of the owner was completely inappropriate. His attitude made me feel uneasy, and he came across as unprofessional and disrespectful.

It’s really unfortunate because the location has potential, but the energy and treatment from management ruined the experience. I strongly advise others, especially solo visitors, to be cautious or consider choosing another café where the environment feels more respectful and welcoming. I won’t...

Really surprised by the good reviews. Unfortunately the food was a real let down. The chicken skewer was completely dry, on top of cold rice. The falafel and beef skewers were tasteless - needs salt 🧂. The tagine did not seem fresh, the clay bowl was not hot and again the taste wasn’t there. We also had to wait a really long time for the food. I will say whilst slow, the staff were quite friendly and welcoming but would not recommend eating here.

Although it is called a cafe, you can also eat cooked food here. I had a late dinner here, a traditional dish, Tanjia marrakchia (a kind of beef stew). It was tasty, lots of lean, tender meat, well cooked. They have a small terrace on the roof (like most bars and restaurants in Marrakech), with a beautiful view towards the Jemaa el-Fna square. Unfortunately, they do not serve alcohol. Service OK. You can't pay by card.
