If you're someone who loves to try momo at different places, you might have heard people say, “Momo khana ta gaiyo” (Let’s go eat momos). However, sometimes the excitement from watching videos or hearing recommendations doesn’t match the reality when you actually go to try it.

At Momo Pasal, the hype doesn’t always meet expectations. When I first saw videos of people devouring those momos, the visuals were mouth-watering—juicy, perfectly steamed, and loaded with flavor. The aroma too seemed promising, except for the achar (chili pickle) which was the only thing that stood out. As soon as I got there and tried the vegetarian momo, I was a bit disappointed. The momo filling was mostly cabbage, and there wasn’t much variation in taste. It wasn’t as flavorful as I had imagined, and honestly, the texture of the momo was a bit too big and thick for my liking.

For vegetarian momo lovers, I wouldn't recommend it. The filling was so packed with cabbage that it felt like I was chewing cabbage in every bite, and it didn't quite hit the spot. The taste, while not terrible, didn’t give me the “wow” factor. If you’re craving something more savory and rich, this might not be your best bet.

The momo shop definitely has its charm in terms of its presentation, but when it comes to flavor, it just didn't live up to the hype. I don’t think I would prefer it for vegetarian friends. If you love cabbage-filled momos and can handle a mild flavor, this might work, but for the rest—maybe look elsewhere for a more satisfying...

Delicious Jamal in Kathmandu's Old Place is an absolute gem that truly captures the essence of authentic Nepali flavors. Despite its seemingly older building, stepping inside reveals a constantly bustling atmosphere, a clear testament to the deliciousness drawing people in non-stop. Parking is surprisingly convenient here; they have dedicated spots for bikes right on-site, and for those arriving by car, there's easily accessible underground Paid-parking in a nearby building.

My meal there was a memorable one, and excellent value too! I particularly enjoyed the Crispy Chicken, priced at just 300. It was cooked to perfection, offering a satisfying crispiness on the outside while remaining tender and flavorful within, and the portion size was very generous. But the real highlight for me were the Chicken Chili Momos, a steal at 270. These weren't just any momos; they were plump, juicy dumplings generously coated in a rich, perfectly spiced red sauce. Each bite was bursting with a fantastic blend of savory chicken, a delightful chili kick, and hints of aromatic spices, making them incredibly moreish, and again, the volume was very satisfying. Even the Coke and Sprite were reasonably priced at 70 each. It's truly a must-visit spot if you're looking for a hearty, flavorful, experience that offers great value in the heart...

Delicious Momo Pasal is one of the hidden treasure in town. Here, they severs various kind of foods and snacks. It's your choice what you wanna try. They serves chow mein, newari khaja set and other delicious items with soft drinks. But this place is popular for Momo ( Dumplings). They serve Chicken and Buff Momo. Chicken lovers go for chicken Momo and Buff lovers go for buff Momo. My personal favourite is Buff one. Their Momo is the best taste wise and price wise. Delicious Momo is actually delicious. Every time I visit here I had a wonderful time. Ambiance is simple, nice and clean. Hygienic Momo as their serving part is just amazing. I am Momo lover so this place is just perfect having tasty Momo. Good news they extended their area so that lots of people easily enjoy their tasty food. Whenever I visit this place is always crowded so you will have to wait for a while but best part your boring wait is forgotten when you enjoy tasty food( Momo).
