A Wonderful Family Stay at Hotel Mum’s Home

Our family of five had such a lovely time at Hotel Mum’s Home. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine kindness and care, making us feel at home straight away. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and perfect for a family—everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. It’s also the only hotel in the area that offers a proper family room for five, which made our stay so much easier and more comfortable.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet street, yet just a short walk from the heart of Thamel, which made exploring the city so easy while still giving us peace and calm at the end of the day.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the little touches—like helping with travel arrangements (booked out flight, pick up from airport etc) and always greeting us with a smile—made our stay extra special.

Hotel Mums Home is absolutely SUPERIOR in every way. We are so glad we found this amazing hotel, this is our second visit here.

This hotel meets, and exceeds even the most demanding expectations. The location couldn't be better, in the heart of Thamel, yet in a quiet street. The hotel is sterile clean. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and have exceptionally comfortable beds with nice soft pillows and genuine comforters. The bathrooms are modern and classy with a backlit makup mirror, sliding glass shower door, and a rainfall shower head with abundant hot water flow.

All that is nearly impossible to exceed but the kindness of the hotel personnel, led by super helpful effective Raj, managed to do it. Not only were they helpful, polite, pleasant and kind, they went way beyond that. They placed phone calls for us in Kashmiri, they even went to the tourist bus station to retrieve an item we left there. Nearly unbelievable!
