Yesterday I visited this place for the first time and for me it turned out to be an unexpected and amazingly pleasant surprise for several reasons. Cozy, calm atmosphere conducive to pleasant communication and very comfortable sofas. Until now, I was afraid that all the bars in Amsterdam are characterized by extremely uncomfortable benches and a noisy atmosphere. But it turned out that this is not so, you just need to know the right places. Well-trained waiters who look like characters from the catwalks. Attentive and delicate, do not interfere with communication and appear exactly at the moment when they are needed. Free welcome drink and snacks, quality cocktails and aesthetic presentation. Interesting idea of the name and the corresponding interior design, ranging from button-shaped coasters for drinks, a measuring tape on the bar counter and images of patterns on the carpet. It's from all these details that the class of the venue is formed. And when I saw the familiar case of an old sewing machine as a bar decoration (the exact same one as I have in my studio at home as a talisman, which is still working), this place won my heart. The thing is that I am a designer and with the help of this sewing machine I built my 20-year-old successful business in Ukraine. But here in Amsterdam I position myself as a modest tailor. And that's why I was invited to this bar with a symbolic name for me. By the way, I did not pay attention to the name of the bar at the beginning and guessed about it solely because of the characteristic details. Thank you The Tailor bar for a wonderful evening. And separately I thank the man with impeccable taste, who introduced me to this unique...
Read moreDuring our recent stay at the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam for a business meeting, we were treated to a truly exceptional experience—particularly at the hotel’s bar. As soon as we arrived, the attention to detail was evident, and the service throughout our stay was absolutely top-notch.
What stood out the most was the incredible service from the waitstaff. They were not only attentive but also genuinely friendly, making us feel like VIPs from the moment we walked in. It was one of my friend’s birthday during our stay, and the team went above and beyond to ensure the occasion was special. They went out of their way to treat us like royalty, offering little touches that made the evening unforgettable—such as a personalized birthday toast and a round of celebratory drinks. Their professionalism and charm were a class act all the way.
The bar itself was sophisticated, with an elegant ambiance perfect for both business discussions and leisure. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It was a fantastic space to unwind after a day of meetings, and it turned into a beautiful setting for a memorable birthday celebration.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of having some drinks at The tailor in The grand hotel Krasnapolsky and I must say, it was an exceptional experience, especially for those who appreciate finely crafted mocktails or for those who drink cocktails.
What really sets this bar apart is their exceptional menu. Each drink was a masterpiece, showcasing a blend of unique, fresh ingredients that were both invigorating and delightfully refreshing. The "Naias " was a particular standout. Sweet, fruity and spicy. One of the best mocktails I have tasted after travelling 35 countries.
The staff at the bar were also exemplary; knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about their craft. They were eager to recommend drinks based on personal taste and even shared some of their techniques.
Overall, the experience was fantastic. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping here for a memorable evening of...
