RIP-OFF!! DO NOT EAT HERE!! This restaurant is Absolutely scamming tourists. It’s disguised by them all being nice at first, then when the check comes you see- They’ve charged $5 each for 2 bottles of tap water that they fill. No seal, no name brand etc. In house glass bottles. $10 for tap water. They offer you pepper sauce with your steak? Sure. No mention they charge for this $2.65 each x 2. $5.80 (for steak sauce) Could I have butter with the baked potatoes? Sure. No mention they charge $1.25 x 2. $2.50 (for butter) Baked potatoes. Usually included with steaks- not. $5 each x 2. $10 additional (for baked potatoes with an already $26 each charge for mediocre steaks alone)
So it’s all a hustle. See the receipt. They try and kill you with kindness and then they kill you with the “extras”. We had only 2 steaks with baked potatoes and water. Nothing else. And the bill comes with charges for tap water, butter and steak sauce! I can only imagine if we’d ordered drinks- it may have turned into hundreds of euros with beers.
Not to mention their whole additional scam trying to pawn off fake $20 bills to American tourists. They start with this whole story about the last customer was American and paid with US currency, can they please give it to you and just add $20 to the check. Such BS scamming at this hustle hustle restaurant. Only bad restaurant experience I had in Amsterdam. I advise to stay off that particular tourist trap street and most definitely STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. ENTER AT...
Read moreThis was the first restaurant I ate at 1 and a half year ago and I’ve been a regular ever since. Let start from with the most important thing - the food. I have loved everything that I have ever ordered. My personal favourites are the grilled chicken and the margarita and and the pepperoni pizza. I have enjoyed the pleasure of enjoying the chef’s special pizzas and some special spice that the chefs use to accommodate my Indian palate and dietary needs. In my time eating here, I have enjoyed the grilled chicken the most. I usually get it with a small salad on the side. I am a very picky eater and I can honestly tell you that I have enjoyed my every meal. PS - I really like their Tiramisu. Moving onto the staff- The staff here is one of the best in my experience. I’ve had some great conversations with them with regards to music, life, food and their stories. I am always looking forward to the stories that I hear. The managers John and Sunny have been really accommodating and their team including the chefs, Den Den, Saieed and everyone else involved have been fun to talk to. I’ve had all my questions regarding the food answered and I like how amazing and open they have been during their conversations.
The atmosphere- I believe the place speaks for itself but one thing I would like to say is that the music is amazing. Old blues, country, Latino music, classic rock and the list goes on.
This is one place you should definitely try when you...
Read moreDisappointing. This is anything but an Italian Restaurant. The place has 2 entrances to deceive customers. If you enter from the Italian Restaurant door, you will still finish in the Argentinian Restaurant, where quantity takes over the quality, and staff are always wanted. You can understand from the menu with some spelling mistakes. The waiter was not trained. We ordered the roasted potates (patate al forno) but a jacket potatoe with cream came instead! This is probably their concept of it and to judge from the look of another gentleman after us, we were not the only to see that. We have also asked for 2 margherita pizzas folded (like calzone) but the waiter came back to inform us that unfortunately the chef was too busy so he basically did not have the time to fold the pizza, so we accepted the regular version. Order for the drinks were taken after the food. In a table nearby a lady was obviously not pleased to taste mainly garlic in her spaghetti alla bolognese, and she wasn't happy that the goulash ordered for the kid was spicy. She said goulash should not be spicy. The menu should inform the customers of the ingredients used, especially when the dish is spicy, to avoid...
