I have been buying things from Uniqlo both online and in store for many many years (in stores in many countries over the world). I’m always satisfied with the good quality-price ratio of the things from this brand. Today I visited the store in Amsterdam, was so shocked by the rudeness from several store staff: the girl who was handing out baskets at the entrance seemed not in a good mood and was talking to me/us almost like scolding, and she was too lazy to point out where exactly to put back the basket when I needed to leave; After I left the store, I found out that the pack of face masks I bought in that store was too small (I chose the size S, among SML three sizes, based on my experience of buying things in this store/brand as I always by clothes in XS and my face is quite small, not to mention that the advertisement picture of the masks were adult ladies wearing these masks. Unfortunately after I opened the pack I found S was too small and seemed more suitable for kids. I did keep hygiene rules in mind due to Covid but still tried to seek for my luck to see if it was possible to exchange it to a larger size, as I did the purchase following the advertisement picture as a reference and my experience with the sizes of stuff in this store. However, one of the cashier girls (name is Shelly) provided me false information when I was asking if was possible to return: she said I cannot return these masks because it is clearly indicated on the product pack that after opening it is not possible to return, so I asked her to show me where it was written, however she could not find it (as it was not written on the pack), then she said it was written on the receipt, but again it was not written there; then she said that I should have a common sense that this is not returnable after opening (I felt embarrassed to be told this in front of many other people), but i also felt that I was being misled to buy a S because of my common sense of a size judgement based on my experience with this brand. When I was about to give up trying to argue with her and was thinking to just buy a new pack, she started saying that she will have to call security personnel to deal with me (and my friend who was also shopping with me), I felt extremely offended. In the end, another cashier colleague of her with much nicer attitude came to help to clarify and solve the issue. After this I felt really disappointed with this store because of the employees working...
Read moreHorrible experience. We bought 2 pair of trousers 40€ each and the shop assistant told us that all trousers over 20€ will get the hem altered cut and fit for free. We went to pay and Phoebe, at the cassa, told us that we could fit it at home and come back for the alter. ( there was a 30min queue at the fitting rooms). We came back the day after and a rude guy, tall, with long black hair told us we have to pay because of a material and stuff. Loud talking explains a totally different story we were told from by 2 different colleagues of him a day before. I was explaining that 2 other colleagues told us differently and I could not even speak my words out that he was already talking over me, super rude. And In front of other customers queuing he was loud and defensive. The cashier, named Phoebe, allowed us to come back the next day to alter the pants. She hand written on the invoice: CAN ALTER PANTS DAY AFTER. I asked the rude shop assistant to call Phoebe, he did, and I could hear from the his phone she didn’t remember any of us. Please people see invoice with her name and hand writing from Phoebe-herself … such an unpleasant time. Even the shop assistants at the changing room( 2 Italians, one girl one guy confirmed about the free alter) even the shop assistance on the floor showed us a chart hanging on the wall about the free alter. Just an absurd and rude situation that guy today, just horrible behavior. The sign on the shop and on the Uniqlo site states: Alterations are free on all unworn bottoms priced 19,90 EUR and above at the time of purchase. For all bottoms priced...
