I absolutely loved this place! I was waitlisted for a dinner reservation and was lucky enough to secure a spot on my last day in Amsterdam. I was so excited to try it because of all the amazing things I’d heard, and it truly lived up to the hype.
Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The appetizers were divine, and the pastas were incredible—I only wish I had more room to try even more dishes! Unfortunately, I get full pretty quickly, but every bite I had was pure perfection. The tiramisu was another highlight: not only was it delicious, but the portion was quite generous. I thought I could finish a slice on my own, but it was almost too much (in the best way).
The staff were all amazing—so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They made sure we were enjoying our meal and checked in regularly, which added to the wonderful experience. The guy who took care of us was especially great!
The ambiance was also a standout. The intimate interior makes it feel like the perfect spot for a date or a special dinner. I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Amsterdam! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an unforgettable...
Read moreHad dinner at this beautiful place tonight. First off: the staff were absolutely AMAZING: warm, attentive, and genuinely on it.
The food, though… well, let’s say it had a personality. :)
I started with an artichoke (€13), which looked great but was most of all decorative: the outer leaves were tougher than my will to diet, the whole thing disappeared in two bites.
Then came the pasta with salsiccia (€23). Delicious? Yes. Satisfying? No. Six sausage pieces playing hide-and-seek in a swirl of pasta, with a scattering of peas for the morale.
Dessert was a strawberry, singular, cut in half, served in a generous amount of ice cream and a confident dollop of mascarpone (€12). Nice enough, but again: not quite living up to the promise.
The wine was genuinely good. We went all in on rosé, a bottle and several glasses of Sicilian delight (€50,- a bottle), but no glass change between courses, which left it feeling a little less special than it could’ve been.
All in all, a lovely evening thanks to the people and the place. The food could’ve used...
Read moreNew restaurant in the Pijp, italian fusion. We came for late lunch (Menu), evening menu is more Italien. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Super helpful front house manager ,Ella, gave super service, excellent descriptions and recommendations. Everything was super
For starters we took the truffle cheese flatbread and San Daniele prosciutto and straccatela with grilled vegetables to share . Both were extremely good and wow but rhetorical flatbread was 2x wow. Main plate. Two pasta dishes (pasta freshly homemade ) , Chittaro pasta with prawns + courgettes etc, and the rabbit ragu pappardelle , both extremely good , though my preferred was the Chittaro pasta.
For desserts - tiramisu is 1 easy choice(though not for me) , the 2nd choice (for me ) quite difficult but then came down to the almond crostata., slightly tarte but perfect ❤️, some good options on wine we like fully bodied reds, and Ella suggested a German, not usually my preferred but this...
