I recently visited Brunchie in Amsterdam for breakfast and was turned away!! Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff refused to seat my party of four adults and a baby in a pram, citing concerns about potential groups needing to pass by. Potential being the key word there! When I suggested folding up the pram, which can be done neatly, and inquiring about a high chair, I was informed that they don't provide high chairs. This lack of flexibility and accommodation for families is disheartening and out of touch with contemporary expectations for customer service. The service was quick, which I appreciated, but the food overall was very standard and nothing really stood out. We came in to have breakfast with my friend. I ordered a meal but my friend was not that hungry and just wanted a coffe. By the time we did the order the waiter said: "two people two meals". I have never had that before, what if my friend just wasn't hungry! Also the breakfast was not even that good for the price that we paid, it was pretty avarage. At the end when we were finished and chatting, the waiter suddently just brought the bill without us asking for it, so we felt that they were kicking us out and it's a nice cafe to just chill and talk.
