Café Josélito — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Wanted to go for a nice dinner with my boyfriend for our only night in Amsterdam. Complete awful service waited over an hour for 4 tapas plates for only 3 to come. We asked for the bill for our sangria after waiting 50 minutes and then told us that the food was coming. Food was extremely over priced for what it was. The ham and cheese platter comes with 3 thin slices of cheese and 2 selections of ham. Potatoes bravas was a plate of potatoes with a dollop of mayo in the middle. 6 small prawns. To further add I had to ask for the bill 3 times wanting to just leave before they finally came and then on the bill had charged us for 3 drinks we never even ordered. To top this off they didn’t even take anything of the bill for waiting this long. Extremely disappointed as this was my first time in Amsterdam with waiters ignoring us and one in particular tutting at us when asking for the bill. Poor service poor food would definitely...

Good Food, great service - BUT YOU DON't ACCEPT MAJOR Credit Cards!

I loved this place, the food, service and ambience within the place was top notch! The vegetable soup, chips, pork chops .. they were so good!

Beers were cold and just what i was looking for as well. Service was great too! Thank-you.

However, get with the times! You only got three stars as you only accept limited credit card types, not the normal Visa, Master Card, AMEX etc! You're in a tourist area, one of the largest cities in the world and you expect people to have local cards and not take global accepted cards!

Cash .. or you're told to go for a walk down the road to get cash out! Very disappointing after a good meal! They don't tell you this beforehand though!

Lift your game, its 2019! Get better...

We were searching for a restaurant to have dinner on the 31st of December. We had no reservation, but there were a couple of empty tables, so we went in. The staff didn't smile and just said that the kitchen would close in 20 min... We asked him, if we still could order some Tapas straight away. He was fine with that, so we did. Sitting there for more than 30 min we found out that for other guests it was still okay to order food - why did he stress everybody by telling us the "only 20 min left"-lie??? The Tapas tasted good, but were quite expensive regaeding how much you get on the table.. They also forgot to bring us a second portion of Patatas Bravas, which we had ordered..
