I live in the neighborhood. This single shop here ruins the neighborhood well-being in many ways.
It is disrupting for the traffic, tourists waiting or eating outside the premise uses the whole sidewalk, which causes pedestrians to have to walk in the street, causing congestion, bikes rings being heard all the time, cars and motorbike having to go in noisy low gears or to beep. The crew outside is not enough to control the crowds, what is more, they scream names of orders, or to call people waiting in the bridge to get closer. Every 30 seconds you can hear them screaming, even from half a block away.
They also makes the neighborhood extremely dirty, as turist will trash their potatoe box and wooden forks everywhere. As it also attracts seagull, bikes and cars get dirty by these birds. I've seen some poor seagulls trying to eat the cardboard from a box of potatoes.
I sincerely hope they can soon move somewhere else, as it damages Amsterdam and the inmediate neighborhood
Please also consider that all the houses in this neighborhood are monumental housings with single glasing, which means almost 0 noise isolation for the street. This means that everyone living in the street is constantly hearing the noises from this shop, workers and their customers produces every day, including weekends, from midday to 9 pm. It is literal, a living hell of constant perturbations and...
Read moreWe recently spent three days in Amsterdam and visited FF three times during our stay. Their chips are genuinely the best—fresh, hot, crispy, perfectly cooked, and beautifully golden. The Parmesan they use is top-notch, and their sauces are incredibly tasty.
I tried the famous Parmesan with truffle mayonnaise, which was absolutely divine. The truffle mayonnaise is rich, thanks to its high quality. Next, I tried the spicy mayo, which was incredible, with a delightful kick. Finally, I sampled the ketchup. You might assume it’s basic, but it was the standout for me. Unlike Heinz, it’s packed with real tomato flavor and a perfect hint of sweetness.
My husband, who is usually quite fussy, was also obsessed with these chips. He had the Parmesan and ketchup every single time—and absolutely loved them!
Overall, I’d give them a 5/5 for both quality and flavor. The place is also very clean inside, which adds to the overall great experience. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and I didn’t have to queue on any of my visits. I can’t wait to return to Amsterdam to enjoy these amazing...
Read moreCame here because of the crazy high scores in the reviews. Definitely not deserved for a few reasons Fries are not double fried, so they are not crunchy outside and creamy inside as they could be (and with some tasty brown Maillard reaction) Fries are served in a tiny paper tray that barely can fit them. On top of that sauces, onions or cheese is added, and obviously eating this mess is impossible without dropping everything. Does it cost so much to buy a proper container? Don't expect to be able to eat this while walking. There are no places to actually eat the fries!!! given point 2, you gotta walk quite a bit to find a place to sit down because the place itself doesn't have any seats to dine in.
Spent about 6€ per person
Mediocre, I've seen far better places,...
