I ran 5 miles to get here, and it was absolutely worth every step! The jerk chicken was phenomenal—perfectly seasoned with that authentic kick and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere really stood out, with classy décor that made the place feel both inviting and stylish. On top of that, they’ve got a barbershop inside, which adds such a cool and unique vibe you won’t find anywhere else. What made the experience even better was the service—especially from the guy with the Mohawk mullet. He was super attentive, quick, and genuinely hospitable, making sure everything was spot-on the whole time. The music rounded out the experience perfectly, creating a lively yet laid-back energy. This spot isn’t just about great food—it’s about the whole experience. After a long run, it was the perfect fuel-up, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

It’s rare to find Jamaican food in NL so I was pleased to discover this restaurant, centrally located at Beursplein. The interior is small and colourful with a laidback vibe. My friend enjoyed the pepper pot for dinner and I ordered the jerk chicken. Eating jerk chicken in Jamaica would set your mouth on fire so the restaurant tones down the spice nicely, without eliminating it altogether. The result was a generous serving of very tender and juicy chicken in a flavourful jerk sauce that still had some bite to it. While is typical to drink beer with this meal, we opted for Piscos, which were well balanced and delicious. The service was friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would definitely return.

WOW -- So bad on so many levels. Was hungry for a hold-me-over; Went up to the bar and to see about a bite while waiting for my shave, but gal wouldn't give me the time of day. By the time she acknowledged me in part, it was time for my shave, 15 minutes later. My barber pops out, who I made an online appointment with, who has a look a disdain for his job. Great?! I roll with it anyway and go in looking forward to the Deluxe shave I made my reservation for. A few swipes and simple buzz of the beard with the electric buzzer and he's done. One side crooked from the other and no neck or under lower lip tightening up. By far the worst shave I've ever had. Save you monies and go elsewhere, there are a few choices in town with better service and value. It very well may have been an off-day for these folks and the one dude who was doing my services was certainly less focused on his job than some of the other barbers doing what looked to be an enjoyable experience/shave.

FOLLOW UP to Cut Throat's response: CT did respond apologizing for the negative experience and offered a make-good on the shave. At this point, my shave is done, crooked, and already cleaned up the rest myself. I couldn't bring myself to go back and experience another poor job, or hyper performance due to my review. I would always prefer to write a great review from the start and a genuinely great experience, than a negative review out of...

Attended the bottom lunch brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice, so is the music. Unfortunately a lot went wrong during our brunch. The shared dining concept was poorly explained which resulted in everyone ordering their own dish and people eating alone. Food itself was very nice!

However, due to the restaurant being completely overbooked, first drinks took more than an hour to arrive. (Sittings are usually only 1,5 hours). After a lot of inquiries it turned out our ticket got lost… Second round of ordering drinks same thing happened. We paid extra for bottom less cocktails and luckily the restaurant extended our sitting due to the long wait. We were told that is was not possible to order individual cocktails and we needed to switch to pitchers. Quality of the drinks were very much impacted by this. As a peace offering the staff told us that the last two pitchers were on them ( Eventhough we paid for bottomless cocktails…)

All in all a nice place to have coctails and a small bite but not equiped to handling their...

Last minute, we dashed into Cut Throat before the concert—perfect pick seeing all those rave reviews! Instantly fell in love with the vibe: raw brick arches, vibrant DJ beats, and that warm Caribbean scent greeting us.

I tucked into spicy huevos rancheros—colourful, packed with flavour, and teamed with crispy fried chicken that hit every note. Meanwhile, the cocktails kept coming—my Bloody Mary was perfectly spiced, the mint in my mojito was so fresh it practically sparkled.

Best bit? The staff. Attentive, genuinely friendly, always on hand to top us up or ask if everything was okay. That’s rare.

By the end I was genuinely buzzed—not just from the bottomless cocktails, but from the vibe, the chat, the food. It wasn’t just a brunch, it felt like a mini celebration. I’m definitely coming back—hopefully soon. Want more? I’ve already texted our friends: “You have to try this.”

Would absolutely choose this lunch again—and next time? Jamaican jerk chicken night,...
