had an unpleasant experience at this Starbucks regarding access to the restroom. I waited for about 10 minutes with several other people, thinking it was simply occupied. There was no sign or indication that a code or key was required — nothing at all to inform customers about the policy.
Eventually, I decided to ask the staff if something was wrong. I was met with a surprisingly passive-aggressive response: they told me I needed to purchase something first to get access. I explained that I would return with the key and make a purchase afterward, but they insisted quite aggressively that I had to buy something first. The queue at the counter was long, and at that point, I really needed the restroom after waiting so long.
I completely understand if a purchase is required, but this was poorly communicated and unnecessarily rigid. A simple sign on the restroom door would avoid confusion and frustration. A bit of empathy from the staff would also make a world...

I told them I wanted hot drinks and the staff member gave me flack for not specifying hot. Since when is that expected and when did it become the customer’s fault? My daughter took one of the cold ones since it’s routine in Canada and the US to give the customer drinks made by mistake. The staff member yelled loudly “who took my drinks”…so she returned it. We observed him move the cold drinks behind the staff door and later went back there with another staff member. Optically, it looked like they wanted to benefit from their mistake. To make matters worse I was charged for the pricier iced drinks. Terrible customer service and would definitely NOT recommend. Read moreI Love Starbucks coffee and have visited their shops all over the world. This is the worst one by a country mile! The staff are either incompetent or undermanned - the management can decide, it’s not my job! What I will say is that it is one of the most unhygienic restaurants I have ever been in. There is one toilet cubicle for the dozens of guests in the restaurant at any time. The cubicle had overflowing bins, and there was toilet paper and urine everywhere. I asked the staff to clean the toilet- and to their credit, this was done straight away. But Unfortunately, the lack of hygiene did not end there - at the customer stations, the bins were full and over flowing and used cups and rubbish littered the surfaces.
