We bought the Social deals.

At first the deal had a menu with many thing on it. We were excited about this and made our pick from starters to dessert even before we got the the restaurant, but to our disappointment when we got there they had a pre-set menu with not even half of the items on it that was mentioned in the deal. When asked if we could have what we wanted as included in the deal they said, no only the items on the menu can be selected. This is not the first time it happens. With a previous Groupon deal it was also made reference to bread and fries, which we were not offered when we got to the restaurant. It seems that this is a trend of management to have false info on the deals to get people in the restaurant and then not offer what they agreed to let the customer pay for. This is really a bad way to try and promote your restaurant and leaves a bad taste. I will not be recommending this place to my friends.

The night went on with poor service from the waiters, (only 2 on the night serving a whole restaurant), we were not offered a menu when we arrived and only after about 15 minutes when we could get one of the waiters attention they brought us a menu. They took long to come take our orders and to bring the food, we constantly had to get their attention and ask for the next course to be served.

I'm really disappointing at this kind of service and offering. I would not recommend the place as there is much better places to eat in Amsterdam which provides value for money and...

I took myself off to the Dam for a little birthday treat and decided to visit this establishment for my dinner. Seeing as it was a treat, I decided to go for the T-Bone steak (med-rare of course). The first thing I should have noticed is that the cost only includes the steak and all other extras need to be purchased. I know this is common practice in a lot of places, but I'd only expect this from high end establishments and this is not one of them! So I dumped another €15 on fries and mushrooms which stung a bit. I also opted for a glass of house red wine to start with. The steak was delivered in good time and on first glance, looked very appealing, however, eating it proved to be a whole different experience... One side of the steak was stringy, chewy and overcooked, bordering med-well, whereas the other half was barely cooked to medium and was quite flavourless. The fries and mushrooms were very nice tho!! Within 3 minutes of recieving my food, before I even grabbed my cutlery, I was checked on by a waiter to make sure all was ok! I asked him for another glass of wine and off he went... Out of the building and down the road!! He returned to the restaurant a few minutes later and carried on with his duties but neglected my request for the wine. Until I was ready to pay, I was ignored and left to eat my food. Wasn't a great experience and judging by the other offerings in the local area, I feel I could have had a better evening elsewhere. Waited long to be given the menus, then another wait to have the order taken. The starters took about 30 minutes to arrive (it was about one third occupied). When they arrived, I received both my starter and main together, or I should say, my friend was given my starter and I, my main course. I ordered the veggie fajitas which looked totally unappetizing. The goats cheese salad came with the cheese with the skin and I had to chisel it off and spread it over the salad myself. Weird. Presentation was underwhelming. The fajitas came swimming in oil, topped with boiled garden vegetables. I had to ask for something else to come with it. They brought sour cream (it’s actually cream cheese). I’ve never had veggie fajitas that consisted of solely chargrilled vegetables and sour cream. Again, underwhelming. The twisted fries were extremely greasy, so much so that they were soggy. I’m not a fussy person and eat most things but this was really disappointing. We were left with our dirty plates for nearly 30 minutes and had to get their attention to order dessert.
