Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences weāve had in a long time. From the outside, the place looked promising ā modern, not too full, not too empty. But everything from that point on just went downhill.
The atmosphere was chaotic: six or seven TVs all playing different K-pop videos, and one loud song playing over everything else ā completely out of sync. It felt more like a noisy waiting room than a restaurant.
Service was slow and unwelcoming. Despite it not being busy, we were ignored for quite a while, and when we finally ordered, even basic drinks were overpriced (nearly ā¬5 for a small cola/iced tea). The gyoza were the only highlight ā probably microwaved, but at least tasty.
But then came the real disappointment: my girlfriendās ramen arrived while we were still eating the appetizer. It had a weird aftertaste, strange texture, and overall no real flavor ā definitely not worth ā¬20. Meanwhile, my chicken dish was completely forgotten. No one said a word. I had to ask twice, and even then I was told it would be āthere in a second.ā It wasnāt. When it finally arrived after 20 minutes, it was dry, the cheese was rubbery, and honestly, I had already lost my appetite.
No apology. No explanation. Just a plate dropped on the table with a quiet āhot.ā The whole experience just left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. Sad, really ā this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo food was really fine, fried chicken and Korean ramen was nice on flavor and spice. However kimchi had no fermentation, it was suspiciously to sweet and didn't felt that there was even a week of fermentation, when we asked staff about it they were confused and said that they make it fresh. Conclusion maybe it's kimchi salad then ? Overall still not bad, but staff was not really attentive, while 1 girl serving all table another 2 employees are shitchatting and petting each other hair. Tables which arrived later then us got service and food earlier than us. After 30 min sitting at the table with menu I had to wave for someone to come to take our order. Same with checking out and paying, we had to hunt staff down that someone would come, we asked to take chicken leftovers while we payed. So we were waiting for a box to put chicken in another 15min, however I catched another staff member to finally bring the box because everything takes insanely long... I'm not even mentioning that someone would ask between the meal if everything is alright and upon satisfaction, or we need anything else like a drink? I would honestly give a higher rating if not slow and unattended service. If you planning your time or having tight schedule better avoid this place ( for reference we had table at 17:15 and restaurant had maybe 5 tables in total, so excuse that they were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat food, uneven service. When we arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty following the rain but somewhat filled up as we dined. The decor is trendy and tasteful. We asked if the dolsot bibimbap could be made with chicken or pork instead of raw beef, which one of my dining partners does not eat, and were told simply āitās beef. We donāt serve porkā. The curry dishes come with salad and miso soup, so we asked if we could have a miso soup along with a different dish and were flatly told ānoā. I suspect the issue is simply one of trainingāperhaps with the point of sale device?ābut we were one of only two sets of customers at the time, with a full kitchen and complement of staff, so I would simply have suspected they would try to make things work for the few of us they had. The young woman who dropped off our food was much friendlier even in that capacityāI wish she had waited on us instead. The fresh kimchi was delicious and spicy, and all of the food came quickly, was presented appealingly, and was delicious (note that the portions are large). If this place can raise its standards of service and training, surely it can...
