Koopman — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This place!! I was looking to review this place since last year, july-august!! Yo, let me tell you !! I was eating here with my (now, ex), boyfriend.. in the meantime i end up without a place to live, paying hostels and campings(that's , here considered ,being homeless, quite expensive, but still, homeless, okay?)... I was also working one day when i decide to take a break and grab a sandwich from here.. I've quickly ordered through the Uber app. With the fact they knew my situation, and they knew i was also working delivery, where you kind of really need to eat ..and eat good to have energy.; a hostel too, it is not resting at all, you pay about 1000/month (minimum, when it's NOT high season)and sleep 2 hrs/night if you can sleep those even. I bought 2 sandwiches; one of them, the fish sandwich i had to throw , as the fish, was BLACK, burned , forgotten about , I had some photos to post them too but my phone was also snitched from one of the hostels and had no backup on it unfortunately! If theese people would have the heart to feed a homeless , working person the trash they would have otherwise thrown away(it wasn't even good for 2good2go-the app). I hope they , somehow , get the karma they deserve !! The older lady even asked me :" and how did you think to stop and eat from here!?" indeed, i shouldn't have .. and it's not about 10 e, it's about , what kind of a heart must you have inside of you to treat someone else like this?? Disappointed and baffled !! Terror. Even if it would be the best food on entire Earth, it just doesn't... deserve to...

So as I walking the streets of Amsterdam, I stumble upon this sandwich shop. Pastrami sandwich with spicy mustard and suarkraut, get the butter on the bread. They hand slice the meat and cheese by hand every time. 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks for only 8.50. The staff was warm, friendly and just having a great time making your food right in front of you. Value and AMAZING food. I will be back every time I visit...

Such an awesome place! The people serving there are not only friendly but also super funny and as it seems always in a good mood. If you come past there and you have time you should defenately go in and get your hands on two of their fresh sandwiches (pistoletjes). Try one with a meat ball (so good!) and mayonnaise and one with Filet...
