Together with @eze_theglocalizer I went to visit Little Plant Pantry to try out their menu for @blackloveoffood!
We loved that the place is fully vegan. Even though we don’t eat a fully vegan diet, we do find it very important to eat plant-focused. In places like these, you don’t have to think about this since it’s the default. Besides that, everything is home made and there is also a major gluten-free focus.
You can find so many ingredients in the shop for your own creations as well. We spent quite some time walking around in the shop to check some ingredients like oils, spices and even home made pastries and desserts.
What did we taste?
Drinks: Apple/Pear/Cinnamon blend (iced) Hibiscus Ginger Water Kefir
— The blend is nice and sweet, it still gave us summer vibes cause it was iced. We would recommend the warm blend for colder temperatures. The kefir will be to people’s taste that wouldn’t necessarily choose sweet drinks. It tasted like a fruity 0.0% beer, which makes sense because of the fermentation.
Appetizers: Almond ‘cheese’ pie Crackers with sundried tomato and green pesto ‘cheese’
— The almond pie and crackers with ‘cheese’ went down so easily! Savory flavors and for sure the best vegan cheese we’ve had till date. Eze was born and raised in France and he fully approved. The sundried tomato flavor was our favourite.
Mains: Chickpea curry with rice Lasagna
— The chickpea curry with rice was just great. A nice blend of spices with plenty of veggies. The lasagna with actual crunchy vegan cheese was amazing. You can really tell these dishes are homemade and created with intention.
Desserts: Banana bread Brownie
— Sweet, moist, fresh and gluten free! Nicely warmed up and we enjoyed them over personal and inspiring convos with the owners of Little Plant Pantry.
We had a lovely experience at Little Plant Pantry and would recommend anyone to stop by this place, show them some support and let your taste buds be treated by some food (home) made with love!

Read moreI can't believe I haven't written a review about LPP yet... The only true zero waste shop in town. They have a big selection of dry goods, spices and 'speciality foods' like vegan cheese, sweets and other yummy things. They also sell homemade beauty products like soaps, shampoo bars, lipbalm. All vegan, organic and really high quality stuff. We especially enjoy their maple syrup, black beans and cinnamon, these have just so much more flavor than what you can get elsewhere! Plus, Maria and Winter are very lovely people with vision, and they live up to everything they believe is important. So come by and support them, we need business like theirs to stay around...
