I live in Amsterdam, I’m not a tourist. I’ve been here a few times because the food is ok. Tonight I went, I ordered a “normal falafel” which is €5.50. I paid with a €20 note. The guy asked me if I had 50c which I did and when I handed him it, he handed me a €5 note, smiled and asked me “is that everything?” To which I replied “ yes thank you” he then said “your sure that’s everything?” I said “yes thanks” he said “ok then thank you” at that point which was weird and uncomfortable i then realised he still owed me €10 which if I hadn’t realised he would have kept. He asked me in in such a minor that he could not be held account for it as anything other than a misunderstanding. I was shocked and his co worker quickly realised what had happened and tried shhhh what was happening, I got angry and told them to shove their fakFel yo their arse and left. I went to the restaurant next door, ate a nice spaghetti dinner, thought about it and after we t back to ask for my €5 that they owe me. When I walked in , 20min later, the rip off guy was gone and they gave me my €5 back with as little eye contact as possible. The food here is what it is. Watch your money and your change because the staff are crooks. What a shame that so many buissness in Amsterdam today only see customers as people to be stolen from...
Read moreMaoz Falafel in Amsterdam is a dream come true for any falafel lover, and I found myself coming back again and again – four times in just three days! The fully vegan menu is straightforward, making it easy to choose a delicious meal that suits your taste. Their falafel is freshly made, perfectly crispy, and bursting with flavor – honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had.
The real highlight, though, is the self-serve toppings bar. It’s packed with fresh and flavorful options, from crunchy veggies to creamy sauces, allowing you to build the perfect sandwich or bowl each time. It’s such a treat to be able to go back for seconds and customize every bite to your liking. The setup is quick, convenient, and makes for a fun and satisfying meal experience.
The only small drawback was that I noticed some customers eating right over the toppings bar, which felt a bit unhygienic. It would be great if the staff gently encouraged people to enjoy their meals at the tables instead, to keep the area as clean and pleasant as possible for everyone.
Overall, Maoz Falafel is a must-visit for a quick, affordable, and incredibly delicious vegan meal in Amsterdam. Whether you’re in the mood for a snack or a full meal, you’ll leave happy and well-fed! Five stars...
Read moreWe're in Amsterdam and i heard alot about this place from my friends and followers that it's a must visit food joint. It was really hyped to me by everyone and once i was there i know why it is so well know and recommended by so many people. They have multiple outlet i visited the one near dam sqaure, it was pretty crowded with limited seating spot as the food is more handy yet clumzy. Pita was cut half from the center and 3/4 of falafel were add in with some hummus over it and cabbage and rest it is up to you, they have more then 8/10 in toppings and you can add whatever you want, however you want and as much as you want multiple time. Yes you read it correctly the can be added multiple time and also they have 5 different types of sauces, again add what you like my favorite one was the garlic mayonnaise. I basically added olive, onion, tomatoes and lots of pickle as they were really good and delicious. One falafel is enough to fill your stomach as it is really heavy and not so easy to complete and the options of topping is a pure Paradise for sure. Even their fries are worth it, golden crispy fries with delicious dip it's an easy go stuff.
