Maud Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

The restaurant isn’t that bad, but the service was horrible. I’m assuming the two guys running around the restaurant were the owners; both looked very drunk and seemed uninterested in the restaurant. The whole evening felt like we had crashed a private party hosted by the owners.

The food was average—neither bad nor good, just acceptable. Portions were quite small. The service, however, was atrocious. The blonde guy serving us—I believe his name was Tijn, based on our bill—was extremely unprofessional. He literally threw the tissues onto our table from a distance, and the same happened with the cutlery. We weren’t even given fresh cutlery after our starter; instead, he just dropped them off our plates while trying to grab them.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. There are far better places in Amsterdam, and this experience was a huge disappointment. You should train your staff properly before letting them...

Went to this place for the first time with friends on a Saturday night for dinner. The place has a great potential and is quite welcoming but the food is not up to standards. Service was great with a very attentive waitress ; nothing to say… Food was really disappointing though. We were surprised to find some sort of a mayo under the pieces of fish in the ceviche. The seabass was not well cooked and fries are just industrial which, for the price, is not worth it…. In a nutshell, I will come back as the venue and location are amazing but I will stick to drinks and snacks. There is a great potential...

It's a nice new place in the neighbourhood. It looks cosy, and the staff was friendly. The food was good, too. However, even though it was tasty, a bowl of soup was relatively small and cost 10 euros. But most importantly, they charged for tap water - 3,5€ per person!! In retrospect, I should have taken the bottle with me for this price - as you obviously shouldn’t pay for tap water in Amsterdam (I also didn’t expect that and just had half a glass). If the owners are reading, I’d suggest getting rid of the tap water charge and slightly increasing the portions. Other than that - this...
