Monopoly Burger — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Gets a 5 stars rating for the overall experience.

As a junk food fanatic, it’s rare to find great food here in the Netherlands, and burgers in particular are trending as everyone’s business now, that even falafel trucks (if there were any) would be selling burgers!

As a first timer, I usually order restaurant specials, today I got:

1. Monopoly beef burger. Not a tomato in your burger kinda guy here, but I didn’t mind it at all in this sandwich, the bun was heavenly, the patty was exquisitely cooked, the balance of meat-to-seasoning was immaculate, and although it doesn’t drip a lot, but the way each bite smoothly melts in your mouth is worth it all.

2. Monopoly hotdog: Processed cheese aka cheddar/American isn’t my thing, but as it was stuffed into the hotdog, with delivery time, it still kept warm, again the hotdog bun was out of this world; the sandwich was simple, neat, and can easily be eaten anyway one holds their hotdog sandwich!

3. The Nachos Locos: Where they use waffle fries instead of chips, and I was on my toes to try this one as I don’t like variations of fries; wedges, waffle, or pomme swirls, but this was excellent, crunchy on the outside, so darn fluffy on the inside. However, I didn’t really care for the monopoly sauce that comes with it, as for me it was under seasoned, and can easily be lost in the crowd.

Packaging was very neat, I loved it a lot, it’s like they do pay attention to the littlest details when it comes to their orders.

What I’d like to see improved is:

1. Monopoly sauce, seasoning and flavours are a tad bland, being their signature sauce; it needs some work.

2. Fries to box/toppings ratio in the nachos locos, I ran out of waffle fries so fast, had to get a spoon and dig into the what may seem like heaps of toppings that comes with.

Overall, I’ll definitely keep ordering from them, and cannot wait to try their other menu items.

This has been my go to place for 2 years under the old name Artisani.. They had GREAT quality and price. Unfortunately they changed name and priceline. Now It's more in line with the hipster neighborhood, less in line with my pockets.. I guess its back to mcdonalds for me :( I want to thank the new owner for the quick and kind reply, but he claims that the ingredients are 100% the same, but the meat doesnt taste the same neither to me or my girlfriend. Also it is true that the prices have been lowered while putting more meat in the burgers, but the (better sized in our opinion) small options have been removed, and that was by far the cheapest on the menu and the most convenient. So much so that neither us or our friends have ever ordered a big one from artisani with the old menu. I would love to go back in a few months and find that at least the small burgers have come back. Went to break my fast there with a couple friends yesterday, wanna say thanks so much to the owner and host that took care of us that evening! Straight up amazing hospitality for our food and iftar, received complimentary water with mint, and dates to break fast with. Alhumdullilah may Allah reward you for your hospitable deeds and the food was on point as always!

For those interested to iftar here, they take in reservations and prepare the food beforehand so when you come in, food will be ready! Affordable and decent pricing overall, and always satisfied with the food and service.
