Nude Burger — Restaurant in Amsterdam

History: I was a loyal customer of the shop for years. I traveled a bit and recently visited the shop again. It has been a year or so that I grabbed a quick bite there. The shop used to have a different atmosphere back in the day. They used to had very dedicated employees. The employees told me how the tried to make their own sauces for the burgers and they where happy to inform me which ones I had to try. In the shop they played some good old rock music. Those employees where good at making their food. They where also very friendly. They made incredible chicken burgers, one of the best I had ever tasted. The whole atmosphere made me love the place.

Staff: The staff they once had are gone. The people who work there now feel very cold and do not have the same skill set, also they aren't as friendly. The whole atmosphere in the shop changed, they right now play some loud obnoxious dutch rap in the store and it all feels like you are gonna grab a quick bite at a very mediocre burger tent.

The food: The food might be my biggest problem. Back in the day when I used to go there, they had magnificent ways of making burgers. Chicken burgers that tasted so well that if you tried any other burger from any place it wouldn't top this one. If you order that burger in the present day. You get a chicken burger that's been bought at the local supermarket and you still pay a big price for it.

conclusion: I hope that they will revert back to how they once where. However I also see that they opened a second place. So I guess they are gonna become a franchise. Which makes some things more complicated and might even drop the quality so they can make more quantity.

My friends and I ordered a large amount of orders at once, and we were still all served within 20 minutes. After this small wait we were met with burgers that several of us agreed was easily on of the best we had ever tasted. Beautiful in its simplicity, "The boss" was a great-tasting non messy treat made with great care. The meat was delicious in itself, only enhanced by the amazing sauce and vegetables.
