am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration following an exceptionally distressing experience at your establishment, Black and Blue, on New Year's Eve. Despite having made a reservation and taking the proactive step of confirming the details, my encounter with your staff left me utterly appalled.

Upon calling to reconfirm my reservation due to a memory lapse, I was met with a level of rudeness and skepticism from one of your employees that is simply inexcusable. The derogatory insinuations about my ability to recall the reservation time were not only unwarranted but delivered in an insulting manner. The lack of courtesy and professionalism displayed during this interaction was utterly disheartening.

To compound matters, after being summarily dismissed and hung up on, my attempts at redress were met with further hostility from another member of your staff. Their refusal to address the issue and outright rejection of our presence at your establishment was not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful.

This incident has left me and my party, a group of nine individuals including three children, without dinner plans on what should have been a joyous evening. The sheer lack of empathy and courtesy exhibited by your team is an affront to the very essence of hospitality.

I had noted prior to this visit that your establishment had received subpar ratings on Google, but nothing could have prepared me for the extent of the discourtesy and unprofessionalism we experienced firsthand.

I implore you to address this matter urgently, as such behavior not only tarnishes your restaurant's reputation but also alienates patrons who had hoped to celebrate a special occasion in a welcoming environment.

I trust that you will take appropriate action to rectify this situation and prevent the recurrence of such deplorable conduct...

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for our Valentine’s Day dinner, the day after Valentine’s. So luckily it wasn’t that busy and we reserved for a table.

When we got there the host wasn’t really welcoming. It just seemed like he didn’t want to be there. He gave us 2 choices for tables, one literally next to the entrance door and one very close to the other tables. Since I didn’t want to constantly get cold air while I eat or having people go in and out right next to me, we chose for the other tables that was very close to the other tables. I had to squeeze into the table because of how close the tables are to each other and my butt was literally on the other guests table.

When we got seated, we didn’t get a menu. I assume the host forgot to give us menus. We waited half an hour and someone finally came and they wanted to take our orders and we said we didn’t get the menu yet. He apologised and went to grab the menu. After he left to get a menu, immediately someone else came in and wanted to take our orders. It went from nobody even paying attention to us for 30 minutes, to 2 waiters wanting to get our orders in a span of 2 minutes.

After we got the menu we had to wait another 20 minutes to get our orders taken by the waiters. And another 30 minutes to get our food on our tables. The waiter gave us 1 portion of fries and said that if we wanted the second portion to let them know. I was tired of the constant waiting that I just didn’t bother to get the second portion.

The food was okay overall, the steak was a bit dry, as it didn’t came with sauce. I also had a pornstar martini, it was also okay. Didn’t taste great but it was okay.

Issue with couple next to us due to having selfie, no fault of staff male member of staff ensured we were cared for and ensured we felt happy and safe at the restaurant as well as caring for couple we felt were in the wrong (caring for all staff) Ilias- male staff member who care for us was brilliant, i mentioned briefly that it was my friends birthday and he brought us a cake on the house and when we asked for some more wine brought it to us himself. True gentleman and a brilliant place to eat. This seems like a place where there are many locals so i can understand that tourist can probably be annoying but everyone’s needs were accommodated to. Ilias was really comforting when another couple were annoyed at us taking a selfie but there was a member of staff who spoke dutch with the couple and complained about the ‘way we were’ unaware that my colleague also spoke dutch. Food 10/10 over all service 7/10, one or 2 of the out of front staff were slow and unbothered by customers if it was Ilias alone 100/10, so attentive and kind. Would recommend this place...
