Our experience here was a roller coaster. When we arrived, we noticed that we and 1 other table were the only 2 parties there, at prime dinner time. But, we enjoyed the ambiance and the cocktails while we were here. Our server was in training and we could tell he needed help, and we were very patient with him. He was great and very kind. However, the management and other workers should have offered more help to him, and we noticed and felt sorry for him. Our food was not impressive. We ordered a sushi roll before any food with our cocktails and it never came out. So we reminded him when we received our food, and then he put our order in. The chef and other staffed seemed rather rude and disrespectful to our party of 7. When the sushi finally came out, it was super fishy where it was overpowering. We only ate one piece and told them that we no longer wanted it. I notified the server and then he notified the manager and chef, only to find out that there was actually no manager on the floor. When he finally came back with our check 20 minutes later he told me the chef told him he couldn't do anything and we still had to pay for it. We stayed in Aruba for a week and everywhere we ate was amazing except for here. They do have potential to be successful but they really need to improve and take care of their staff and customers. Super unsatisfied with our experience unfortunately, although we really...
Read moreOne of the places to visit when coming to Aruba!! Saw it on a u-tube vid that it came highly recommended. So we came and we totally agree. It's a very busy spot, it's really happening and of course the nite we visited was the eve of New Years eve so probably another reason it's so busy.... the decor is fabu, cherry blossoms laiden the ceiling and the pink is going theme on the table setting.... hostess was very friendly seating us. Then our sever Gisselle, was phenomenal, extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.... this joint is not even a yr old but extremely popular.... the food was so tasty and the plating is what got me.... we had a smoked salmon salad each, entrée was - fried fish (grouper) w/ yuca fries and hubby had the tuna pineapple chutney rolls, also had calamari as an appetizer but could be a meal in itself b/c the calamari were huge!!! Had 2 drinks each,, the mule and the good vibes only,, hellooooo no skimping on the alcohol at all.. Ambiance is perfect for large grps or a 1st date.... defitively recommend a visit. Would visit again for sure when I...
Read moreI went to Hanasaki many times. Both locations. And never had anything to complain. The food was excellent, service as well. My last visit, April 17 at Hanasaki at the Mill was a nightmare. The sushi rolls topped my list of absolute worst ever. The texture was comparable to thick oatmeal. The flavor was just a mouthful of nothing. Couldn't distinguish the ingredients from eachother. One of the rolls was fried and burned. Menu didn't mention it was a fried roll. (Not a fan of fried rolls) We were the only guests at the restaurant and it still took 55 minutes for us to get our first roll. The waitress never came to refill our water, never asked if we wanted another glass of wine. The person I went with and myself both got the runs after this visit. I don't like writing bad reviews but I felt robbed after this visit. The food is very expensive for absolutely no reason. I hope they get it together. Until then I can't recommend anyone...
