De Kerktuin — Restaurant in Rotterdam

My husband and I and a friend ordered three burgers. Two arrived and the third, we were told, would be "a few minutes". We waited. We waited. Eventually we asked after our friend's burger. We carried on waiting, not sure whether to eat ours while she sat without, or to let ours go cold.

All the while, I was watching other customers' orders being dished up and served - and still no sign of ours. I think we must have waited about 1/4 of an hour in the end.

All we can imagine was that our missing burger was added to end of the list of orders, instead of being a priority.

It cast a pall over our evening and made us all uncomfortable. We didn't want to embarrass our friend further by complaining, but it was really unacceptable to deliver only two out of three dishes to a table of three people then leave such a long delay before delivering the third. We came to eat together! Not in shifts!

It was a shame because otherwise it was a nice relaxed meal, tasty food and nice drinks and should have been much more fun...
