Disappointing meal. The food was very good, but the service was poor. I will not be returning.
The six of us went for the chef's menu and two of us were vegetarian which was fine with the kitchen. We also decided to have half glasses of wine, changing with each course.
During the first course, the waiters made a mistake, served a full bottle rather than just a half glass each, did not explain the mistake and then blamed us for serving the end of the bottle that was left on the table. The were very unprofessional in correcting this mistake, and just gave the impression that we were in the wrong. On top of this the table service was quite awkward and the leaning over the table every few minutes to serve dishes or wine made me feel uncomfortable the whole meal.
Considering the cost of this meal, I expected a lot more. I will not...
Read moreFood was very tasty and wine pairing and selection was excellent! The problem is that I got seriously sick from the food and it was horrible, and lasted the next whole day. I suspected it was from oysters or seabass tartar I had during the dinner for they both were raw.
I informed the restaurant about this and although they replied to me right away they regarded it as my personal reaction to the food, and refused to consider the food itself could’ve been bad. I never have had any allergy or bad reaction to oysters or seabass before. Even though my friend who had the same food with me was ok, not got sick like me, it doesn’t automatically mean the food itself had no problem, and of course you could not conclude it was just my personal reaction issue. Too bad that good experience in the restaurant ended bad. I don’t think i...
Read moreI had a very mediocre experience with a restaurant of this level. On the good side, they’ve got a vibrant wine selection and a cosy interior. You can choose a half portion of almost everything except a few desserts, which allows you to try more food options. They start with some compliments from the chef, which is always lovely.
On the downside, the tartaar had quite big chops of meat that were hard to chew, therefore the whole dish didn’t feel wholesome and enjoyable. The main dishes were okay, without anything special that would make you want to return for more. The dessert was good, but the tarragon ice cream was more of a soft serve than ice cream.
The most delicious ones were the oysters. The rest is simply not worth it, and I believe you won’t get the value for the money you’re...
