It is one of those restaurants located on the side of the The Hague municipality building that you pass by walking through the center thinking, "mmm, great location, but the food is probably not very good and over-priced." We were pleasantly surprised!

This authentic Turkish restaurant has some of the best fresh, authentic mezze dishes! We had a variety of tappa dishes with flatbread that were tasteful and not oily. We really liked the chunky, low fat hummus that was clearly better than any supermarket brand.

We had a small portion of lambs ribs that were well spiced and 2 pantile that were deliciously grilled. One was with potato and one with spinach and cheese. In total, it was all total about 30 euros and the serving was more than enough for 2 people.

The restaurant is quite popular and when we were there half the seating was reserved. So I would recommend to do the same.

Tandr is the place if you want to eat fresh and healthy mediteranian food. No greasy kebabs here. Food is prepared in a special clay oven called "tandr". If you don't like fries with your meal try the tomato bulghur. They also serve soups and tasty wraps with your meat of choice. Earlier I rated this restaurant higher. But I got fed up with the service, it is just bad. People who work here don't know the meaning of hospitality. Amateuristic attitude, no professional horeca back ground, somuch is clear. We enjoyed every visit in this restaurant The owner and his wife were very friendly while we know English is an issue with Turkish people in the Netherlands

The mixed grill: The quality 5 out of 5 The price is 4.5 out of 5 The taste is 5 out 5

The sandwiches: Chicken The quality 5 out of 5 The price is 4.9 out of 5 The taste is 5 out 5 and unbelievable one of the best grilled chicken (tawooq) I ever tried in the Netherlands 🇳🇱

You don’t have to wait long for your order to be taken or for your food to arrive, but friendliness was lacking. We ordered 200g of lambs racks and received very little meat (see image). The meat and fries were also on the salty side. I did not expect this after reading the positive reviews that led me to eat here.

They serve the meat, chicken or kebab as wrap or on the plate. Soups and patile menu is also very well priced for lunch. The shop is also very clean and tidy. Open kitchen is a plus.
