Wang Wang is a Chinese restaurant located in the Chinatown of Den Haag. Not the best looking restaurant in Chinatown, but the reviews were all very positive. Not much to look at inside, with lots of cheap looking plastic chairs and basic tables.

The service was okay, but that night have been because the middle aged lady behind the counter clearly didn't have the usual Dutch propensity for speaking English. Nothing bad of course, just more functional than friendly.

By the standards of Netherlands, the prices here were quite reasonable. Although the menu looked quite extensive, there were only a few vegetarian options, so I went with the vegetarian noodle soup. The food took about ten minutes to come, whic was reasonable. The portions were pretty generous with plenty of noodles, vegetables and even a fried egg.

Overall, pretty happy with...

Randomly walked into this place. We checked the ratings and they seemed good. We were greeted by a friendly host.

Place looks run down, like it hasn't been taken care of in a long time. They have a little freezer in the restaurant for popsicles, but they also keep little bags of mystery meat and fruits in there. Doesn't look too great.

We ordered salt and pepper chicken with fried rice and stir fried lamian noodles with chicken. Also a mango bubble tea.

Never, ever ever order the bubble tea, it was horrible. We saw them blend frozen fruit, but when it arrived at our table it was luke warm.

Both dishes were okay, but not like the Chinese food we're used to. With other Chinese restaurants close by, we will skip this place in the future and go to them instead, for similar prices and much...

With Chinese restaurants I often get the feeling that the more simple and raw they feel, the better is the taste of the food they serve. And this is absolutely the case with WangWang: family-led, just a few tables inside, dubious decorations, but oh my god is the food good! Been here twice already since moving to the neighborhood two months ago and it’s definitely one of my favorites! All the dishes we’ve tried have been delicious and tasty, I particularly always enjoy a plate of noodles (the ones with duck are just to die for) and some dumplings, and those never disappoint. It is quite a cheap eat too: a couple of dishes for the two of us and we were completely full and really really satisfied. A must go...
