Brewd Hawt Chicken Co. Manukau — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

I placed an order during working hours and scheduled it for 12:30 p.m (29th) since that’s when I have my lunch break. When I arrived at 12:30, I was told my order wouldn’t be ready for another 15 minutes. Unfortunately, this meant I spent my entire break waiting instead of being able to eat. It wasn’t just my order — I noticed multiple customers experiencing the same delay and being given the same response. What made the situation more difficult was that only one staff member appeared to be working, which understandably slowed everything down. When I finally received my food, it was slightly cold and the wings did not have their usual texture or quality. Considering the amount of money I spent, I was extremely disappointed. This is actually the second time I’ve had this issue when ordering through DoorDash, which makes it hard to rely on picking up lunch from your restaurant during work hours. If the kitchen is running behind, it would be much more helpful if staff could notify customers in advance so we can adjust our plans, especially when orders are placed ahead of time. I want to emphasise that I really enjoy your food, but the service and consistency need significant improvement. Given this experience, I would like to be compensated accordingly. I travelled two hours to try Brew’d Hawt’s spiciest chicken!

I would 100% make the trip again.

Greeted as soon as I entered the restaurant. Aari (Manager on Duty), is such a lovely person and a great host, he was ready to answer any questions I had about the menu.

I ordered the Bombay G Burger (Hawt Hawt) with Shoestring Fries and Brew’d Syrup.

Holy… First off, great veggie to chicken ratio! Always a great sign of professional burger craftsmanship. The mango chutney was sweet and little tangy and the herb mayo helped keep the lettuce together (who likes lettuce falling everywhere when you eat a burger?).

The chicken was beautifully crisp and moist and best of all - super spicy! The spice was so addictive, it had instant heat that made my lips tingle with delight, it was so so tasty.

The shoestring fries were a crunchy treat and with the ‘Brew’d Syrup’, it became a work of art - please order this dip if you come here, you will not be let down. My friend put some on his Lemon Pepper Wings and he said it was an insaneee combo.

I love that they have vegetarian, vegan and lower calorie options too!

It’s okay, decent burger and chicken defs not bad. Similar vibe to peach’s and similarities of their style of chicken, burgers, menu, deco kinda run very close together. However I’ve had a few burgers, fried chicken, fried chicken burgers (that I’ve yet to pop my review up) to know that this was although a good feed, there’s better selection out there. The fried chicken wasn’t anything too special, it’s just fried chicken, the bun was quite nice and soft and the flavors were good but was it outstanding? There’s other options out there. Good place to try out and add to my list but wasn’t outstanding enough for me. Think of it as south Auckland’s peach’s…but if you’ve had peach’s brew’d is on another tier. Lovely service and nice...
