Viet Bites — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

This is a new cafe that’s just recently opened in the Manukau city bus terminal close to where I work. The traditional bành mi is a delicious baguette sandwich, satisfying without being too much. I especially enjoyed the crispness of the warm roll and the variation in flavours between bites. I haven’t had one before but they sounded nice from what I’ve read, and I’m glad I gave it a try. The place is newly fitted out, clean and attractive, and service was good. I also enjoyed an iced chocolate and next time might try one of the bubble drinks. I’m happy to have found a new convenient place for lunch and I plan to go back tomorrow. This Vietnamese restaurant honestly surprised me in the best way! The food tasted so authentic and flavorful, just like what you would get in Vietnam. Every dish was fresh, well-prepared, and full of rich flavors that felt both comforting and satisfying. The portions were generous, and you could really tell the cooking was done with care. The service made the experience even better the staff were kind, friendly, and very welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, perfect for sharing a meal with family or friends. Plus, the location couldn’t be more convenient since it’s right next to the bus station, making it super easy to find. Definitely one of the best places for authentic Vietnamese food in New Zealand I’ll be coming back for sure!

I had such a satisfying meal at this Vietnamese restaurant!

The BÁNH MÌ was absolutely delicious – the bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pâté was fragrant and tasty – excellent quality for the price.

The BEEF PHỞ really impressed me. It had a rich, flavorful broth with no MSG, tender beef, and fresh rice noodles that were pleasantly chewy.

The CHICKEN PHỞ was just as good – flavorful meat with crispy skin and tender, well-cooked chicken that held its texture perfectly.

The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.
