Muffin Break — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

Customer service not so friendly had felt like she didn't want to work today & when got the order they forgot the coke but on the receipt it said fruit drink ? But we got it sorted. Found table & seating straight away most of the tables & seating were all very close together not spaced out enough crowded needs a few cubicle hubs to have more space a private connection if needed. Very loud noise playground next to dining Not sure why Westfield don't build a covered out door playground & outdoor cafe area out where the library is would make sense....🤔 Food looked great the selection was standard prices some were standard others above price... Got a feta spinach muffin & mocha & choc caramel slice Muffin was yum but too crumbly & the choc caramel tasted over a week old had a weird tinge taste to it...the mocha was OK the coffee gave it a burnt taste.... Would i go back no & would I recommend not highly but for those wanting to try it...

I’ve visited many Muffin Break stores and usually love their coffee, but my experience at the Manukau Westfield location was very disappointing. I ordered a coffee with plant-based milk and some muffins to take away. The muffins were served warm without asking, even though I clearly said they were for takeaway they seemed old, tasted bad, and were dry a few hours later. The coffee also didn’t taste good, and both made me feel unwell. The person who served me seemed uninterested and provided poor customer service. I haven’t been to Muffin Break for several years because their coffee is not great (I have long blacks), and their food has been average, at best. Today, 3 July 2019, I decided to try it again. Coffee was still not great. Had a feta and ? muffin, which was okay, but hardly warm. Also had a traditional club sandwich, which was horrible. The filling was fair, but the bread was stale and horrible. I picked at it, but left much of the bread. That’s it for Muffin Breaks. Definitely not going back.
