Honestly expectations were high but at the end of the service only my disappointment were high. Lobby was empty once me and my family walked in , after enjoying a whole day out we decided to have wendys to top it off. Whilst placing my order , Only 2 mate rates the 5$ combo for my sisters , I made sure to repeat the title to the female cashier “mate rates” to confirm so far my order was correct but she kept replying the usual small medium or large ?? in my head im thinking isnt it just one size so I said oh just the $5.80 meal mate rates and she repeated again small medium large etc, so I went with the small. Promise this part is revelant.
After placing my order I did ask for my receipt she insisted to take a seat and i would receive it after my food was made I agreed. 20minutes and not even exaggerating 20minutes I waited in company of my family waiting for my food, once i received my food i checked the receipt, the mate rates $5.80 was suddenly $8.40 so tell me why i was overcharged ?? stood and went to the same cashier. Not a moment did i lose my cool, I have so much respect for retail/fast food workers so I politely asked her just to explain to me where it went wrong and to tell her that I had asked for the mate rates. She scanned the receipt and looked up at me “I dont think you asked for the mate rates” so i explained to her my side saying “I said it twice or maybe even 3 times, my mum who was standing behind me to order even heard that I said it. I said that I wanted the $5.80 so many times but you kept asking me for the size” she goes “oh yeah the mate rates is one size” then she showed me the cup. mind you ive ordered from wendys often so I know what I want. “Yeah thats the one I wanted so why did you keep asking me for the size ?” she then rolled her eyes and stood back to call over her manager , I was really passive against this issue so I made sure to tell her that it wasn’t her fault but she cut me off and said that she would just get her manager. That service is unacceptable, not only did she not take responsibility and blame me but the attitude towards this matter was unprofessional. This mustnt happen again
After recieving the appropriate compensation I sat back down with my family who also hasnt received their food just yet. Time went by until we got fed up with it and my parents went to demand for a refund for their seperate order. My mum went up and saw that our food was just sitting on the tray waiting for flies to land. No one was attending to it so it was just getting cold. nearly half an hour past and the order was still not complete. My mum demanded for a refund because the time we spent waiting was wasted and the manager said that she would replace the food but my mum wasnt having it and said no because then we would be waiting for another half an hour. after that two other familes who also ordered after us asked for their money back.
as soon as we got our money back we made an escape to carls jr because the service was utterly disappointing. Please manage or oganize your staff properly because we did not feel cared for nor appreciated for being there. the wait time needs to be fixed. Would not recommend after having a good day out. Read moreSorry I cannot go below 1 star. It was an absolute nightmare and waste of time. I was picking up 2 orders for uber eats delivery today. I arrived the store a few minutes before 5pm. Waited for a 5 minutes and still haven't seen my order being ready. Therefore, I asked two ladies one after the order within the next 5 minutes about my orders to pickup. However, both were saying they are doing it right now. 15minutes later, my orders still not ready. However, there were 3 to 4 take away customer came after me but left with their food. So I asked the guy at the counter with the headset. He told me it is almost done and said 10 minutes when I asked how long more do I have to wait. Another 10minutes later, I could not see the guy told me to wait 10minutes but caught another guy and see what is going on. He said "Oh they are doing it now." and claimed just need a few more minutes. At 5:47, I finally see one of the order seems to be ready on the table which is over 50minutes after I arrived. However, the person at the counter tried to mix up both orders in the same cup holder. I tried to not get mad and asked him nicely if he could put the two orders in seperated "Uber Eats" bag which would be a lot easier please. Guess what? He gave me two Uber bags and walked away. That means I have to place them into the bag myself which was supposed to be done by them.
I do not know how ridiculous is this to wait for 50minutes to pick up two orders. Yet, I have to pack them myself. And not to mention, they were not busy at all during that 50minutes I was waiting. I saw 6~8 different staff walking around in the kitchen seems like nothing to do instead of trying to help me out to get my orders done. Moreover, there were not many customer to server at the counter at all. I could not tell was it serious or not. But this is totally unacceptable for a big franchise like this. I I cannot understand how any of them if any of them actually have any sort of form of Management certification. They are rude they act like there is no customers around and the way the crew are spoken to is highly disgusting. Unfortunately I have no choice but to go to this restaurant due to the work I am involved in but seriously Wendys. I am very surprised some of the girls behind the counter have not had their faces slapped from some of the things that I've heard going on between other female customers. The crew does not smile they seem that they hate their job its not a very nice place to be in while having to be forced to watch and hear such nonsense. This is meant to be a family restaurant but the stuff and I will add not all but some could all do with a smile to be honest. And last but not least the quality and skills when it comes to food handling is appalling, food service is very slow.. and the restaurant and tables themselves always a guaranteed to have rubbish or things needing to be cleared from them full stop your service area for the ketchup and napkins could do with a simple wipe down and some restaurants but this one you'll find the key shop lead pulled out and not put back in after a staff member has filled the ketchup and left it sitting on the bench. I have seen this happen twice and both times it actually was put back in by a customer. I have nothing really happy to say about this restaurant as it constantly has all these defaults.
