It’s cute, it’s fabulous, and it’s “Gram Worthy”. Plus, it was one of Metro’s Top 50 cafes in 2019.

The wall outside is super fun - a light pink with green trees in front.

It’s tucked around the corner on Queen Mary Avenue (off Manukau Road). I loved the old flour wagon in the courtyard. The decor is very stylish, with accents of pink and white. The menu can be found on the back wall and Kokako coffee is available in excellent supply. The cabinet is also abundantly stocked.

I’m totally in love with the light boxes on the ceiling and I get a very country chic vibe from this lovely little establishment.

Now, onto the food.

My mother had eggs on toast ($12) with a side of Hashbrown ($5) and creamy tarragon mushrooms ($6). I also had eggs on toast with hashbrown but instead of mushrooms I added cured salmon ($6) which was so bright and dare I say, pretty. My best friend had the Zucchini & Feta fritters w/ sriracha labneh, lemon, pickled beats and a poached egg ($21). The coffee was really smooth and we could tell it was made with love.

The staff here are really friendly and were even so kind as to take a photo of our group.

We came here as an early Mother’s Day treat but I’ll definitely be returning, and often.

Server Shoutouts go to Jade and Valentina. Thanks for being so gracious and entertaining.

The cafe is just off Manukau Road close to Greenlane. The cafe s quite small. They do have a few tables outside but there isn't much shade. The tables inside are across from the counter so it is a bit tight. The spacing between the tables are also quite small. We were lucky that people were leaving when we arrived otherwise it would've been full. We grabbed the table and there were menus there already. We had to order form the counter so I just went up when it wasn't busy. There were a few people who came by to grab a coffee or some cabinet food. They were out of asparagus fo the asparadict but we were able to change the asparagus for bacon. I had the creamy mushrooms and I quite enjoyed it with the feta and eggs. The iced chocolate was alright, I just found it a bit dark. Overall it was a nice cafe with nice food but the small space makes it difficult to...

I'm a regular customer. I was buying a normal tea. Grumpy dark haired waitress refused to stamp my drinks card. She said it was a 'coffee card only' and she didn't make up the rules. She has been working there for years. There is a sign on the counter saying 'hot drinks card only'. How many drinks have i been buying and i haven't noticed before? So people - that free drink's card is a ruse. If you are having a bad day Miss, don't take it out on the customers.

SO you haven't listened to a word I have said. Valentina obviously had an off day, and she got in with the phone call to you first because she knew I had taken a photo of the card. My friend I brought in has cancer. My husband is terminally ill at home. We came in to have a nice lunch and some respite. I have a photo of the card saying HOT DRINKS ONLY. But as I won't be in there again it...

I just been to there 6 of Feb,arrived around 1:23pm,there was a man standing outside and I waited for few seconds to make sure he just waiting for something takeaway.then I used my phone to scan the QR code and standing at the front door. You can also check your CCTV, there was no staff ask me any questions although they face to me. Few minutes later the barista told me I can come in,then I walked in.I don’t know if your staff scan others vacation pass, but they definitely did not scan my one, even I shows to them and say“this is my wife and my vacation pass”,the lady still does not scan it,I’m not even sure the lady look at it or not.So how can I sure they scan every customer’s pass? If they do scan everyone’s pass, why the didn’t scan my one? I do believe you have CCTV, please check it very carefully,I’m very unhappy with this bad customer service

Flour Mill Cafe is truly a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The pink and rustic brick charm of the decor, combined with the cozy seating, creates the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a delightful mix of classic favorites and unique dishes. I tried their Bugget, French toast, and coffee ,and it was absolutely delicious. perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste is evident, and it’s clear that the team at Flour Mill Cafe is passionate about what they do. Jack, Vee, Nita and MÖÖdy are amazing people who greet you with warm welcome and they are always smiling. That place feels like another home to me.
