I did not want to go as I had read many negative reviews from others at different branches. My (14 year old) son nagged me so we went together. We went on a thursday at 6:30, the timing was great as about one hour later it was really busy. The service was excellent. The food choices were very good, and plenty of salad foods if you wanted. I packed a bowl with the minted lamb and the marinated pork, chucked some seafood in there and went on to add satay sauce and thai chili sauce, added some peanuts and jalapenos. I watched the chefs cook it, it took about 4 mins, and they put it on a plate and I went to the salads, add a feta cheese with olives type vege salad, some fried noodle and sat down to eat. Wow! What a brain explosion that was. It was absolutely delicious, and for $25 a head, it p*ssed all over anything you can get from Valentines by comparison. Seriously good value for money, take the kids, their eyes will pop, and you can go back for 2nds, 3rds if you want, I didn't because I was sooo full. We are going again tonight (Epsom) with the whole family! Can't...
Read moreThe Khan as always is a fantastic place to eat, especially for work or group eating. $25ish dollars a head all you can eat including desserts. Do bear in mind although they close the restaurant at 10pm the kitchen closes at 9:15ish - it would pay to arrive at least 45 mins prior to kitchen close for a comfortable meal. 30mins at the latest. Once the kitchen closes the precooked buffet & bar are open until supplies run out.
Only downside is that due to large crowds the wait to have your meal cooked can be long. I recommend hitting up the precooked buffet for a snack until the queue subsides. Doesn't take more than 10 mins.
Other than that this place is great, reading all the 1 star reviews makes me laugh, mostly impatient people or guys that don't understand...
Read moreBefore going in i was not sure of what to expect and this was a new experience for me. Place was cosy, tables were full on a Saturday night, its recommended to make a table booking. There was a huge crowd and a long line to the cooking area. Intially the bowls to take the meat had run out but they were replaced shortly. Meat options are not that gigantic but its sufficient for whats being paid. On both occasions the spring onions had run out which were not replaced. Few of the sauces had run out too and had to make do with whatever was left and no they were not replaced. Food tasted okay, nothing over the top but hey its cheap so no ranting about the quality. Dessert was good, didnt try the pancakes though. Overall an...
