*BBQ Teppanyaki: The best BBQ Iâve experienced at a buffet in New Zealand! The steak was tender and perfectly cooked to my preferred doneness. The shrimp and scallops were also cooked to perfection. A very skilled and talented chef made this a highlight! One downside is that we had to wait a bit as thereâs quite a lot of people waiting.
*Seafood: Fresh tuna, kingfish, and salmon were sliced to order, and the oysters were shucked on the spot. Fresh but again, need to wait. The scampi were large and fresh (size 1 or 2) with a limited portion of four per personâwe felt it was just right given the size and the variety of food options.
*Hot Food: Overall, good. The Peking duck and tom yum were surprisingly delicious. The chicken wings were a bit disappointingâbland and dryâbut the BBQ pork was tasty.
*Salad Bar: Delicious, though it lacked green vegetables.
*Desserts: Excellent selection with good variety of types to choose from. The crÚme brûlée, sago coconut pudding, and strawberry tiramisu were all delicious.
*Drinks: The beer glasses were too small, and it would be great if there were larger options. For the quality and price, having self-serve soft drink or tea/coffee stations would have been nice.
*Customer Service: Fantastic! The chef and waiting staff were very friendly and attentive, clearing dishes promptly and refilling wine glasses when empty. They asked if we had any special occasions and when they knew it was two of our friends' birthdays, they brought out birthday cupcakes and played a song, which was a lovely gesture.
*Seating: The seating arrangement could be improved for a buffet setting. The inner seats required others to get up for us to access the food, which was very inconvenient.
*Overall: : Delicious food, great customer service : Food a bit slow, inefficient seating arrangement, expensive price. A very nice experience and I will definitely...
Read moreAlways love to try out new places especially anything to do with seafood. One tree buffet has only been open for a couple of months and we decided to go to celebrate my birthday and my cousins birthday as we are one day apart (they also play happy birthday later in evening and bring out cute little birthday platters with a candle for people celebrating their birthdays). I LOVE how spacious the seating is, they've thought about giving people a nice dining experience where they don't have to feel like they're in anyone else's way. The actual tables and decor are super cute and I also love how the lighting isn't garish and bright but more low which sets a lovely ambience. The waiters come and ask if you'd like king crab legs and they bring a plate to your table (apparently its usually scampi but the scampi is returning soon). King crab legs were so sweet đ So much food but not too much to be overwhelming but you definitely need to just have a little taste of everything so you leave room to go back for whatever you're favourite is. Of course the prawns and oysters were good as well as the sashimi and sushi. The abalone melted in your mouth with a smokiness to it so good. Sushi taco was yummy. I didn't even get a photo of my favourite part the wagyu with prawns and scallops and yumyum sauce from the teppanyaji grill TO DIE FOR đ Dessert station is amazing and I didn't even get to taste everything đ Basque cheesecake and creme Brule were mouth watering. Highly recommend for a special occasion, would love to go again but looking for a good excuse đ Have recommended already to so...
Read moreThis seafood premium buffet was great. My fiancĂ©e and I visited during their opening promotion, which gave us a $20 discount, making it $119 per person, including one free drink. The place was elegant, and the variety of seafood on display was incredibly tempting right from the start. They gave us each a coupon to try the Scampi (four per person), which was fresh and absolutely deliciousâa definite highlight of our visit, but disappointed a little that the quantity is limited.
We went to celebrate our anniversary, and they surprised us with two heart-shaped juices, which were a sweet and tasted great. My favourite was the sashimi, especially the thick, chewy salmon piecesâthey were simply delicious. The tuna and kingfish were also excellent.
The meat options, like beef and duck, were equally impressive, and the seafood pizza was a surprisingly good addition. The ramen was a bit of a letdown, being too mild, but the miso soup was satisfying. Overall, we spent 1.5 hours enjoying both the food and drinks.
However, the lighting at our table grew dimmer over time, which was a bit disappointing, and the table itself was a bit wobbly, making us feel a bit uneasy. Despite these minor issues, it's definitely worth visiting for any special occasion or if you're in the mood for a fancy seafood experience in Auckland. The prices are relatively high comparing to other buffets, it is not easy to say their quality have justified to the prices, but our discounted...
