WORST RESTAURANT EVER!
Our recent visit to Chic was a crushing disappointment, especially since it marred a special occasion - a birthday celebration for a loved one who had just overcome a tough battle with depression. Instead of a memorable night, we were left with tears and disappointment.
We had high expectations, having ordered a big shared cocktail, other drinks, and a massive royal feast platter to share with the whole family. However, what we received was a lack of understanding, condescension, and appalling treatment from your staff.
When we asked for cocktail glasses to enjoy our shared drink, the server scoffed at us and dropped off large glasses with an attitude. We politely explained that we didn't realize it would be served in a bowl without glasses and requested cocktail glasses. However, she refused our request. We then asked the manager to intervene, thinking she might be able to help resolve the issue. Unfortunately, she arrived with a "no" already prepared, citing that we hadn't ordered cocktails - which was ridiculously not true as we specifically ordered cocktails.
It was clear that she didn't care about our concerns or that we were celebrating a special day. As we tried to explain that we just wanted to make the night special for the birthday celebrant, she remained unmoved. To add insult to injury, we saw plenty of unused cocktail glasses sitting at the bar YET THEY REFUSE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR SIMPLE REQUEST.
The restaurant and bar were empty, with only us and two other groups of people present. Feeling frustrated and disappointed, we decided to pay for our untouched drinks and cancel our order.
But the cherry on top came when the chef intervened, telling us we couldn't cancel and then sending the manager back with a glass so small it was almost comical. She slammed it down on our table with a snarl and demanded to know what else we needed. The attitude was palpable, and at that point, we'd had enough. We left the restaurant in disgust, paying for our drinks and canceling our meal.
Your staff's behavior was not only unprofessional but also heartless. They seemed more interested in winning an argument than in providing good customer service. My family will never forget this awful experience. You've lost six loyal customers! It's a shame that your staff can't learn to treat customers with care and respect.
Next time, take the time to train your staff. They are dealing with people they don't know, some of whom may be vulnerable and struggling with mental health issues or suicidal tendencies. We went there to celebrate, unwind, and have fun; instead, your restaurant gave us more stress and trauma!
Unfortunately, NO APOLOGIES WERE EVER RECEIVED, NO RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED, NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THEIR BEHAVIOUR WAS MADE! ALL STAFFS ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL AT CHIC!
I would NOT RECOMMEND this place! Consider exploring other restaurants that offer a more enjoyable...
Read moreHave been a regular customer for a while, and usually go shisha 3-4 times a week.
Was accused by the owner of pre-ordering shisha and then not showing up, this is a blatant lie. I called and showed up. Then he said “oh even if you did we still don’t do pre-ordering, if you don’t like it you can go somewhere else.”
Clearly this owner does not value customers. Firstly accusing me of lying and then being rude just for asking to pre-order something that takes time to make? Was told it takes 10 min and then it showed up 30 min later. This is the reason why I pre-order.
Was also told, that its annoying that I ring when they are “busy with customers”. I literally ring around 3pm and the place is less than 50% full, I literally see him in the back eating rice.
Its clear you don’t care about customers so i’m not gonna say “i’ll take my business elsewhere” because again, you don’t care but its your attitude that deters me. Your staff are all lovely, except for you. I don’t even get it and it astounds me that you speak to people like that.
What I will say is, value your customers that atleast try to support you in these hard times. Also, take a lesson on how to talk to people with some decorum and professionality. Oh and stop being a grouch, you’re not even senile yet so stop...
Read moreOn Saturday the 10th, we visited Chic with a group of 8 to celebrate a friend's birthday. Unfortunately, the service was poor, and the chicken skewers were undercooked. When we informed them, they made excuses and delayed replacing the chicken. We had brought a cake and requested it with candles after dinner, but it was brought out in a box without candles. When we asked for candles, the waitress responded rudely saying ‘I guess we can’ while rolling her eyes. Shortly after, we were abruptly asked to move outside for table rearrangement without cutting the cake, and both the waitress and manager insisted on moving the tables for a dance floor.
After moving outside to a cramped, shisha-filled space unsuitable for cake-cutting, we were rudely interrupted to pay the bill, insinuating we could leave without paying outside. The manager's unprofessional and emotionless responses were appalling. We left after paying without cutting the cake. This experience was dreadful, and I would not recommend returning.
The staff should undergo customer service training, especially for a table spending over $400. The food quality needs improvement, and they should inform bookings about the dance floor transition time. A manager with a better attitude is the least they can do to...
