Firstly, I’ll start with saying that usually this restaurant is amazing! I always order the Thai Green Curry and it’s always super nice and packed with creamy flavour even though I order it mild! Unfortunately today I went in with my dad and we both asked for mild green curries and we received very spicy meals. Knowing this restaurant really well, it was clear we were given a medium + meal instead of mild (I know what the mild usually tastes like). Trying to eat the meal was almost impossible as we aren’t used to that level of spice (hence why we get mild meals). We would have gone up to let them know about the mistake and get it swapped, but we were the last in our group to get our meal and didn’t have time to wait for them to remake the meal for us. The best feedback I can give is double check what spice level is on the receipt and make sure it’s correctly made in the kitchen. I paid $27 dollars for a meal I could barely eat and was not enjoyable whatever due to the mistake. Now I’ve got a sore stomach, and...

We absolutely loved our experience at noodlemonk up until our recent visit. We have our usual order We go for with our kids.. except this time we found hair in our dish halfway through our meal... I then went up to the counter with our dish and pointed out the hair and the lady grabbed our plate and took it to the chef to show them. I stood there a wee while then thought she will come back and either offer us a new meal or maybe a partial refund? But she just took the half full plate of food binned it then continued with what she was doing.. no apologies or anything... we were sitting right by the till too.. so a little disappointing.. we only had half of what we ordered and paid full price for it and it had hair in it. But all our other experiences...

I ordered Prawn green curry & Roti.... what I got was chicken green curry (which I reallllyyy did not feel like chicken) and oil pattys.... it doesn't even look like roti... take a bite of crispy sog and the taste of oil melts into your mouth... the only taste in roti is the oil, you need to regularly change your oil! Also had the wrong order made. I like thai cause it usually feels healthy, but this felt revolting. I don't think I can eat it, but $35, I kinda have to. Cool store set up. But probably the worst takeaway I've had in my life. I feel I could do better myself, and I've never cooked Thai!! So that's...

Noodlemonk, little high eatery, Christchurch was amazingly great! The food options were excellent and there is everything for everyone, even if you can’t take very spicy food. I ordered a main and a side of spring rolls. The lady, Ms Fai is so friendly and polite. Chatted with her for a while whilst waiting for my yummylocious food. Please come and give it a try. I assured u not, u will loveeeee the food and sincere hospitality. There is a reason why 80% of the customers are having Thai food! I was back here 2 days in a roll and I will definitely come back again when I visit Christchurch.

Craved for asian food after our 2 week holiday from NZ south island road trip, so we decided to give this place a go. And it was definitely a great choice. Tried the basil with beef rice dish which is very delicious and the tom yum soup, lots of seafood ingredients in it. Chicken nibbles dish was packed with a seafood like umami taste and was overall really tasty. All in all, everything tasted great and authentic. The portion size was great as well. And lastly, their service level was very fast, too.

This place is amazing. The most delicious and authentic khao soi I have tried outside of Chiang Mai and that includes restaurants in Bangkok and elsewhere in Thailand. Delicious! The recipe is perfect, the meat is tender and delicious, the broth is flavourful and reminds me almost exactly of being in northern Thailand. If you have never tried khao soi before, now is your chance! If you are craving northern Thai food, you can get it here! 100% recommend!
