Absolutely hideous customer service. The Thai lady that served us dropped a prawn on our table and didn't even say a sorry let alone a single word and left. What a horrible experience. To top it off we had a box of serviettes, knife, forks and spoons on our table, suddenly the Thai lady walks over and takes our napkins and forks away like we weren't using it. We weren't even asked if we were still using it. The Thai lady then hands these napkins and forks to the next table. It was too late for us to react as the table started using it already. I felt bad for the other customers as they are using "used" utils. We got mad and we asked for our napkins box back as we were still using it. The Thai lady goes to the other table and asks if she can take it, but she doesn't asks us. Absolutely terrible experience.
If you think this is a fake account then you are obviously wrong. With your reply to this review, what I should have done is told everyone in the restaurant there that they were sharing our utilities during their meal. I just felt sorry for that table therefore, I stayed quite and wrote this review. Don't try and lie your way out saying it wasn't on the camera we have evidence that we ate at Thai Box on Thursday 3rd of May at 12.23pm. my friend I also went with was Jun Hong. If anyone reading this thinks this is a fake review including the owner, then I would be very surprised someone spent a significant time typing it put this much effort.
I am a local who has lived in Christchurch most of my life and I dine out often. I will not be recommending anyone to Thai Box even though the food there is quite nice. The customer service is horrendous! We came here tonight, there were no customers, all the lights were dimmed and we thought it was closed, turns out it wasn’t. This should have been the first sign they don’t want customers here.
We ordered our food, a few more customers came in and went but it was not full at all. My friend and I were so engrossed in our conversations, we lost track of time.
The restaurant background music was unusually loud the whole time and then all of a sudden, they blasted the speakers to FULL volume drowning out all conversations, I almost lost my hearing and my ears are STILL ringing after I left the restaurant.
The waitress who served us, rather than coming up to us and politely saying something like, “we’re closing soon” decided the best way to inform us by blasting “Closing Time” at full volume.
It’s been three hours since we left the restaurant and my ears still hurt. That is an extremely rude way to inform customers they were closing.
That waitress was also extremely rude when we went to pay. She should go see a therapist or something and learn some normal social behaviours or maybe go through some basic customer service training.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing with a degree of disappointment regarding the recent experiences I've had with your establishment. Over the past three months, despite repeated communication of my allergies, I have consistently received orders containing ingredients to which I am allergic.
I used to rely on Thai Box as a safe option for ordering due to my multiple allergies, but the recent lapse in accuracy has been disheartening. Today's incident was particularly frustrating, as I placed my order at 2 pm for a 5 pm pickup, hoping to enjoy a meal on my way to work. Regrettably, the meal once again contained allergens, despite my explicit mentions of my dietary restrictions.
While I appreciate the growth in popularity that Thai Box has experienced, the declining service quality has become a significant concern. It saddens me to say that, due to these recurring incidents, I am unsure if I can continue to dine at your establishment.
